To everyone, I'm so sorry for the lack of status updates. The project got put on hold a few months ago when we our mac bit the dust and some more important projects came along. I would love to resume development on this app but I'm currently only in possession Linux machines. In all this bad news here is a glimmer of hope however, I currently have sufficient funds for one of the shiny new MacBook Pros. I plan to resume development immediately as I am in possession of one of these laptops. Once again I apologize deeply for leaving you guys out in the cold about this. To make it up the app will be free for the first week or so it's in he app store. I hope you guys understand my situation and I hope to have "pinger" in your hands some day soon!-

I'm making a iPhone/iPod touch Ping.fm app!I have never developed for the iPhone/iPod touch before but, I just acquired one. There are some apps that I need that aren't developed yet so, I am setting out on my own.
I will be trying my hand at writing a native Ping.fm iPhone app. Features planned for my 0.1 release of the app are: Ability to post to all ping.fm services from a native app, and character count depending on the type of post. Planned for future releases: url shortening tool built-in, and other yet-to-be-conceived features. The grand hurrah, when I will release a 1.0 will be a "smart" status/microblog feed reader that detects duplicate posts from the same person from multiple feeds and display only one copy. If you have anything to say about this project please do.
