Additional possibility: blog owner is deleting , which is ok, but it would be helpful to know.

    Re: Mondoweiss.com today

1.) I am unable to make comments on any pages. Previously, I was able to clear access when this happened by using Control f; now that doesn't work. I can make comments on other blogs and multiple scans show no viruses.

2.) Opening a link from within a comment, I reached a blank page. The web address had multiple additional slashes. Eventually, I erased everything except the main address and located the article.

From reading badware.com, I understand such insertions indicate vulnerabilities exist - are they within the web page, the commenting function, Intense Debate, Firefox 3.10 or ? For me (we each learn in different ways,) it would be helpful if a little more info were provided.

Hi, Thor: I didn't cancel the account, because of your rapid response. Good thing, as I see that any problems with Mondoweiss need to be addressed through Get Satisfaction. (:D is, I imagine, your response.) The problems I encounter in using your services relate to the fact that I did not grow up using a computer. Attempting to explain problems which confuse me, from within that confusion, while without knowledge that would enable me to begin to sort out the confusion, using a message board available to the world, is not a comfortable experience. I prefer not to demonstrate my confusion to the world. However, I am used to using written media, so will express that discomfort, as a beginning.

This is a problem, but not a bug. A user problem.
I just filed what I thought was a trouble report to Intense Debate. It's showing on the Intense Debate board, alright, but I got asked to create an account, and thought there was an additional problem with my Intense Debate account, and so created a Get Satisfaction account. When I got the email to confirm and found myself far, far away from Intense Debate at a site I'd never heard of before I freaked until I'd done a search regarding Get Satisfaction, etc.

I am not a happy camper. I will copy this to Intense Debate.

I would not recommend your service to anyone. You may be technically superior (I'm not a user at the company level and have no standard by which to measure.) But the user experience is not good, especially for someone who is not experienced with computers.

I don't need an extra account hanging unused in the ether, so I will cancel it.

    Not Mondoweiss again!
Comments on mondoweiss just disappeared. http://www.philipweiss.org/. Well, second by second reporting here, now the pages are simply loading on white: http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss... http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss/2009/03/nadia-matar-recording.html Two examples. Botton of the page it says "stopped" or, alternatively, "Done". I can get other sites ok. it is 951pm PST 5.31.09

Also, other pages are reloading to http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss... even though the pages load to the post one wants initially and then go into loading with a white screen. I went to MAIN, clicked Obama and Kerry Get It and got the page, although the header stayed at http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss... and the side menu title for Obama etc. has http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss... if one copies the link rather than clicking it. The tab has the correct heading for a few moments until it starts loading on white, but the http remains at http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss...

    A second also:
I'd like to suggest that Phil set up a page for people to talk with you about problems encountered with commenting, because there has been a vote of no confidence on Intense Debate. When the site is being worked on, some kind of notice about it would be a good idea, also, if it interfers in posting comments or accessing the site. Because it is a political site, the possibility of it being hi-jacked is not paranoia but rather a frequent occurence.
