Facebook admins have WAAAYYY too much power. For the past 6 months I have posted a lot of pictures, videos, etc. to a group I am a member of. Two weeks ago I suddenly began getting messages that I had exceeded the limit for posting. When did this new limit thing happen? On the OLD facebook I never heard of limits for posting on walls. Then I sent a PM to a FRIEND of mine, and a pink dialogue box appeared with the message that I was spamming people!!! That made me so mad...I do not spam! I finally emailed facebook and received a response after my SECOND email:
"This warning is an error and you can ignore it without consequence. Sorry for any inconvenience."
A few days later (yesterday to be precise), my account was DISABLED.

Wow, I wish someone would start a class action lawsuit against Facebook. You could get them on numerous counts...slander for one!
They disabled my account after telling me "This warning is an error and you can ignore it without consequence. Sorry for any inconvenience." I have been emailing them for 2 weeks about stupid messages that appeared when I posted things or PM'd my friends. Then I got disabled. The admins at facebook have waaaaay too much power. – Diane, on November 29, 2008 06:36

ACCOUNT DISABLED BY FACEBOOK!!
My account was disabled too and i wrote to disabled@facebook and they didnt get back to me as well same here i didnt do any spam watever all i did was play the games updated my "cash-es" and interact with my friends!!!!!!
They dont even give me a !@#$%^&* warning on WHY they want to disabled my account!!!!
The least they could do is give warning or simply explain to me why they want to disabled my account PROFESSIONALLY!!! At least one problem is solved instead of keeping me hanging like this with NO WARNING NO ANSWER NO REPLY NO NOTHING!!
I've been with facebook ever since!!!! At least they should check unless my a/c is not active maybe they have a concrete reason to to this!! BUT as for me I logged in each & everyday spend my wasted time on FB and wouldn't miss it by any chace at all!!! Could FB at least RESPECT THEIR CLIENTS BASED ON THAT!!!????
So sad that such a GREAT SITE WOULD MAKE THIS STOOOPID MISTAKE!!!

So now I have big concern and question. I have been too scared to make a new account ever since they disabled it like almost 3 months ago. This is not to mention the fact that I have emailed them like over a dozen times and whenever they decide to reply, which was like 3 times of those 20 times was the same stupid reply. Either way, I have heard that if I register a new account with a different email using my same real details that they will disabled it again. Is this true? Please someone reply and tell me. Please someone who is sure about what they are saying. This is important.
Thank you guys,
Ahmed

File a complaint with the State Attorney General's office over privacy issues. I filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office because they disabled my account, right after approving an ad for a praying group that's free mind you, they took my credit card info and charged me and then disabled my account. They won't reply to any emails, so I filed a complaint with The State Attorney General's office over that and privacy issues. You can't take my credit card info and then disable my account and I know nothing of what you do with my info.
File a complaint with the State Attorney General, that's what your state taxes you're paying, are for. Use the resources available to you and make Facebook be accountable to the law. – Lalah, on November 18, 2008 18:15

I didn't get a warning. It was just poof gone. I signed up for an ad on Facebook which they promote, get an ad, get an ad, and so I did, for a non-profit group for praying. Yes, praying. They approved my ad and thus began to charge me by the day . After an hour of approving my ad, my account was disabled. Yep, disabled. They took my credit card info and gave me an approval by email and then disabled my account. My prayer group is still intact, but it has no administrator because I'm not there. I've email them several times at disabled, info, and apppeals @facebook.com To no avail. So then a friend of mine, who's an attorney, said that taking the ad was a financial transaction. Ha! So it's commerce. You can't take my money and then not make resources available to me that I paid for. So I filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's office. And I'm taking Facebook to small claims court. If we dont do something beside whining and griping, Facebook wins. In Canada, a group of students are suing (class -action) Facebook for privacy issues. Americans need to do the same thing. We whine and whine, and never take action. Unfortunately, in this society, change only comes through the courts. When Facebook is forced to defend its reputation and spend thousands of dollars, then it will clean up its act. Write your State Attorney General and file a complaint, use privacy issues as a reason, whatever, just get it done. For those with businesses, sue for disruption of service when you paid a certain amount for ad. They don't respond so you don't know what's been spent, because most ads are charged by the click. You need transparency in these situations. So sue in small claims court, what's $54 bucks, and that's if you lose. Draw attention to the local paper by sending in your suit against Facebook in small claims. Most small papers have nothing to write about that's this great or newsworthy, imagine the write ins they'd get from people who probably had the same problem. Refer to the thousands of complaints here on this site. Get affadavits from people on this site if you can. Just get it done and start taking actions. We're Americans for Goodness sake, we know how to get things done and take names later.
