Hi Susan--
If your trips were selected as Trazzler trips, then an editor will need to edit the tags. You can send us a message at trazzler@trazzler.com with the trip link and the city that you want to apply for and we can make sure that you are in the running.
best,
Megan

Hi Joann--
Your user name is "falcon"--is this what you are using to log in on this page?:

It looks like your password has seven characters. Give it one more try and if you are still having trouble getting in, send an email to trazzler@trazzler.com and we can reset your password.

Hi Julie--
These monthly offers are more job postings than contests (we're regrouping to launch another series of contests very soon). We certainly take into account any trips that freelancers or other writers have already written when we choose the freelancers every month. For these job postings, we're prioritizing a more limited number of metro areas where we really need to round out our content.
Look for an email from me in the next day or so--I have an assignment for you... I've just been sidelined with the flu, so I'm running a bit behind.
best,
Megan

Hmm, for whatever reason, it looks like this account doesn't have an email associated with it. If you don't mind, could you send me a quick email at trazzler@trazzler.com from the email account you would like to use and I can set it up with an email address and reset your password?
My apologies and thanks for your patience!
best,
Megan

Hi Laura--
Sorry about that--it does look like you have two separate accounts with different usernames. I just moved your dog park trip over to the newer account with the bio.
http://www.trazzler.com/users/laura-n...
I deleted the other account (which was Facebook connected). If you now want to Facebook the above account or change the email address under "settings," you should be able to.
Sorry about the mix-up. I hope this takes care of it.

Megan Cytron replied on October 16, 2009 14:00 to the question "When will my trips be reviewed? Review pending for a month" in Trazzler:
Hi Chrystal--
Our apologies. Your trips were evaluated before we had the ability to mark trips as read, so it is taking us longer to get those trips up to speed. Before, we read the trips in the exact chronological order in which they were added--now we are going back and giving everything a second read so we can mark the trips as read--we're almost all caught up).
Hi Richelle--
The difference between Trazzler and "review" sites is that we publish your writing immediately. Then, our editors read through all of the submissions very carefully and choose the best (on average 1-3 out of every ten submitted) to get wider distribution on our site. Writers of these "Trazzler Trips" are also eligible for freelance contracts. It is a much more selective sort of evaluation process than you would find on sites like TripAdvisor, Virtual Tourist, etc. The user trips that aren't selected as Trazzler trips are still viewable and searchable on our site and via search engines.
I hope this helps.
best,
Megan
Megan Cytron replied on October 15, 2009 00:38 to the question "Clarifications on the Trazzler Procedures for a Beginer" in Trazzler:
Hi Carla--
Here are some responses...
> 1. I can write as many traveling notes as I want?
Yes, you can write as many trips as you want about any place. We have more information about the editorial criteria we use for publication here:
http://www.trazzler.com/about/writing...
http://www.trazzler.com/about/writing...
>2. these notes are just for sharing or are they going to be used for another purpose?
All trips are published on the site, but we choose some as "Trazzler Trips"--these trips get a wider distribution on the site. You retain the copyright for any writing that you submit to Trazzler.
>3. I notice that it stays for a long time “pending review”. Usually, how many days are required to do these reviews after writing?
Our last contest got us a bit behind on the other submissions, but we're catching up!
>4. you have contests. Is it every month? Does it have a periodic moment? First you publish for everyone to know there is a contest going on and we can apply with our writings? Can it be only one trip or more?
We try to always have a contest running--the last few weeks have been an exception... We're working on launching our next one asap. You can follow us on Twitter (@trazzler) or check our site for information on the next one. For some contests, we allow more than one submission. For others we limit it to just one submission, so be sure to check the rules.
I hope this answers your questions.
best,
Megan

Megan Cytron replied on October 06, 2009 20:32 to the question "Is it time to change Arizona's laws?" in Trazzler:
Hi Julie--
I can't seem to get Google to give up the exact statute number, but Arizona is the only state that requires advance registration for skills contests (other states require this for games of chance and sweepstakes). For our summer contest, we ran out of time and weren't able to get this done prior to the start date--sorry about that! We hope to bring Arizona back in for future contests.

Hi Kimberly--
I just tested the login in both Safari and Firefox and didn't encounter this issue. Can you clear your cache, close your browser, and restart your browser and try again? If you still have the same problem, please let us know what browser, version, and platform you are using (e.g. IE 7.0 for PC, Firefox 3.x for Mac, etc.) so we can troubleshoot further.

Megan Cytron replied on September 10, 2009 18:53 to the problem "Unable to post a Trip. Page does not execute." in Trazzler:
Hi Abigail--
It sounds as if either some some required information may be missing (the link, place name, or at least one tag, perhaps?) or your title could be too long. You should see red text on the page indicating where the problem is.
If every field is filled out and your title is under 68 characters (counting spaces and the word "in"+ location, e.g., Doing Something in Austin, Texas), then send us a message at trazzler@trazzler.com with your trip text, title, and username and we can troubleshoot it further.
Here's a character counter in case the problem is related to the title:
http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/s...
In most cases, it is an issue with the title length that keeps a trip from submitting. I hope this helps.
best,
Megan
