As with 1.0, I'm sure once the 2.0 feature set is filled out around the edges a bit more, users will find innovative ways to tinker with the visual style of their wikis.

A major part of the impetus for a consistent look isn't money related, despite what Guy says: skins were becoming a problem particularly when it came to consistency in displaying users' main content or when we rolled out new features, and it didn't make sense to fix all 7 different skins every time we changed something.

Sorry. Skins are among the many V1 features missing from V2. Their focus now is primarily on paying business customers, who prefer boring. You can change the colors, though, under 'Settings' -> 'Colors'.

Their CEO says this should "solve most of the skinning requests" (when it becomes available). Please let us know if it solves yours.
