Well, I tried also what Dave55 said, and got no luck. And I actually have a question about IE.

How is setting IE to work offline, related to the solution of the problem? What does IE have to do with tweetdeck?

Also, I don't even use IE. I use firefox 99% of the time. Is there something I can try with that?

Cabby, thank you for posting this solution, but it doesn't solve the problem, because everytime that I open tweetdeck, the folder is automatically recreated.

I try to delete the forlder, login on tweetdeck, but it hangs when trying to add a twitter account. It keeps saying validating, but nothing happens after that.

I use windows vista 64 bit. Someone would please help?

I've tried the new version and it doesn't solve the problem. I think it has to do with compatibility issues with vista 64 bits. It just sucks that no program works on vista 64 bits. I don't know what to do anymore. Honestly, you should do something to make the program work also on vista 64 bits.

I've tried doing it many many times already and I just can't login to twitter or facebook. I've been reading is a problem with adobe air because I'm also experiencing login problems with tweetdeck, twhirl, seesmic and other software that use the adobe air platform.

Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks.

but can you give more info about that? I don't understand exactly what I need to do. You're giving ports there, but what about the IP's? what do I do with them?

I have the same issue. I downloaded a bunch of programs that use adobe air, like tweetdeck, twhirl, alert thingy, spaz, seesmic and more, and none of them work.

So apparently it's an adobe air thing, but how do we make it connect to the net? what ports do we have to open??? =(

I can't login to facebook cause I when I copy the code and I try to validate it, I get the message: "facebook authorisation error. Please correct your facebook details."

I tried waiting 30 seconds between step 2 and step 3 as recommended here but this doesn't fix the problem.

I also can't login to twitter. I get a message saying "Please check your login details".

Any suggestions? Please help.. =(

Maybe knowing the ports tweetdeck uses and opening them we can fight the login problem that many of us have. I didn't have this problem when I had windows XP, but now I have it with windows Vista. So, does anyone knows what ports it uses??

Ok, some say that it's a firewall thing.. But then what? Should I try to open a port for tweetdeck? because I don't get the firewall to ask if i should allow tweetdeck to connect.. So, does anyone know the ports it uses so that I try to open them on my router?
