I love the detail of your suggestion! I've added it to the already existing idea for search. I am closing this idea, and encourage people to comment/vote on the other thread.

db8 Wow - that's a great overview of your process. This could be very helpful to educators (and others). Has anybody even done a "how to make a mission" in PMOG video? That would be neat. Mind you, we educators will have to come up with a slightly different strategy for content that adheres to a unit them. But your approach above could be a great starting point. Thank you for sharing your advice!

melmcbride, if you need to tag missions of educational content, just do it. PMOG already provides tag capabilities so all you need to do is tag yours (and any other appropriate mission) with an descriptive tag. As an example, here are all the missions tagged as "science"
If you have any specific idea that you think you might need in order to make this work, don't hesitate to create a new topic about it here.
And also don't forget to vote up ideas that you want if they are already here ;)

You know an Idea's time has come when our customers think of it almost nearly at the same time we do.
On a more concrete note, I would expect something like this to get implemented towards the beginning or middle of fall. We've got several bigger items on our plate that we want to finish before we make this additions. I imagine they will take us the summer to implement. Ah, the joys of a small team :)

We're "satisfied" categoryI was just looking at the different options I've got on Get Satisfaction. I have Question, Idea, Problem and Discussion. How about a "Give love" or "Endorsement" category for those of us who really love a product? By and large, most people will use GS to either make a suggestion or post a problem/complaint. Companies also need to know when they're doing things right. Don't you think?

melmcbride asked a question in Seesmic on June 16, 2008 15:21:
Permalinks for threadsIs it possible to link to a seesmic thread (rather than one single video)?
melmcbride replied on June 16, 2008 15:19 to the discussion "Assignments through PMOG missions" in GameLayers:
db0 - what you say about the game structure above is precisely what educators have been asking for/talking about in relation to the challenge of assessment and evaluation of virtual spaces and gaming. What I like most about PMOG for education (beside the obvious FUN factor! :) is the fact that assessment is possible from peers, community and instructor. I'm wasting time here, clearly I should be developing a mission! I wonder if there might be some way of tagging educational PMOG missions in future? So that players could also contribute to the creation of shared curriculum?
