A comment on the idea "Create tools for making puzzle missions" in GameLayers:
Wow! Thanks for the kind words Merci. I'm glad you replied positively as I generally have the tendency to churn out ideas with anything I'm excited about and I was afraid I might be considered to be spamming.
Since you like them, It'll be my pleasure to continue :D – db0, on June 11, 2008 16:19

We are definitely working on supporting puzzle missions with tools. These are great ideas, db0. Thanks so much for contributing!
I noticed that you've contributed a lot of ideas. We're working on a lot of them already, which makes me very happy. Please continue to contribute them, knowing that we're listening and will come to you for feedback as we launch new features.

Hi! Thanks for the replies.
So, I tried the skin change in 3b5 to see if it would help -- it didn't. I can't get pmog to not throw the cannot parse/no tools available error under 3b5 on XP SP2. It works just fine on that computer/internet connection pairing under 2.0.0.14 on XP SP2 tho.
Back at work now, and it does still work perfectly under 3b5 and Pre-SP1 Vista Ultimate, so it's looking like a FF3b5+XP SP2 issue? But that's strange and backwards, and confuses me.
At any rate, for the time being, I can use ff2 at home and ff3 here, and pmog it up, and also not encounter the error I upgraded to 3 to avoid (as it was a work-centric error). Hopefully it will be fixed in a new release candidate of ff3, or someone else will have this problem and you'll be able to narrow down the cause.
Thanks again for your help. :)

I'm using FF 3 Beta 5 right now and my toolbar is fine. Have you tried switching to the plain skin for the toolbar? On the far left of the PMOG toolbar is a "P" (there are two Ps, one in our toolbar and one in the Firefox status bar) that when clicked reveals a drop up menu. Select preferences and a dialog box will appear. Choose the "plain" skin from the Extension Skin menu. That may help as well. :)

Thanks for the update, Tim.
We're still working hard to get everything all ironed out with Firefox 3... there will be a number of more beta releases from Mozilla (including a few RC candidates) and every time they make fixes, we have to also make fixes.
If you happen to find out exactly why, please, let us know. We'll keep looking into it, too.

Yeah, 3b5 worked fine at work, so I'm not sure. I actually just upgraded to 3 to get away from a bug I was experiencing in 2, so I'd rather not go back. I'll stick with it, and see if it gets its act in gear. I'm home from work until tomorrow, but I'll test it again there, make sure it still works, when I get in. I'll post again when I do / when something changes.
Thanks :) – Tim Lindenschmidt, on May 13, 2008 04:32

It could be that our servers are slammed, but by the way it's been behaving for me today in Firefox 2 I think that you would have seen something, sometimes.
Perhaps it's the 3.5 Beta of Firefox, though. We had been working pretty consistently on earlier versions of the 3 Beta but have been having more trouble with 3.5. If you're willing, try with FF2 and see if the problems persist.
Or just leave on your toolbar and wait. You can hide it by clicking on the minimize button in the lower right corner of your browser, and un-hide the it by clicking on the small "P" in the lower right corner of Firefox status bar.
Thanks for playing - I'm sorry you're having difficulties.
