Glad that works.
Regarding "show messages read in last X days" ... no such specific feature. But we do have a history.
In any feedly page type: gg (the magic bar). Then "history" ... it will be obvious from there.
If you like an article you can "save it for later" (keyboard shortcut lowercase-L) and you can get to it via gg (the magic bar).
Feedly ought to auto-mark-as read when you open an article. There are a couple of options you can play in preferences:
Auto-Select On Scroll
Auto-'Mark As Read' on Selection.

The scope of the search is picked from the search box. It defaults to your best sources. But it can be any of the items listed in the drop down.
If you have feeds and unread articles then it should find them. Here is screen shot I see. FYI, this is from a virgin installation from feedly.com. The polish translation is a work in progress ... it will be there soon. The key is searching for non-english words + characters.

merlin replied on May 11, 2009 03:10 to the problem "Feedly not showing all set categories on dashboard." in Feedly:
You can move the feeds into categories by drag and drop. To move just drag. To copy, hold the shift key while starting the drag.
Categories can be renamed by shift-clicking on the category name. You can just type a new category name and that's it.
You can merge categories or copy feeds from one to another by drag and drop. If you try a drag a lot of things should become self evident.
There should be a description though that indicates that certain categories are not shown because of the "favorite" only view. We will fix that.

Kealik,
Just to cover the basic. Can you make sure that the "Favorites" only is checked off ? Can you see your missing categories then ?
Feedly will not show those unless there is a favorite feed in the category (when favorites only is checked). Looked in the upper right hand corner of the dashboard page.

Thanks for posting the screencasts and working with us to solve this issue.
Bizzarro that you two guys have this problem ...
We can't replicate it here *yet* so we would need to do some more investigating.
We have an inkling that this may have something to do with gmail versions .... Google sometimes deploys new versions in some "test" markets we think and that's possibly why you two for some reason have the problem.
Based on the last mail-context line, I can tell that you are using gmail not via https (via http) and that feedly knows you are logged in to gmail.
Anyhow, here is the next piece of information we could use. When you point your browser to
http://mail.google.com/mail/
and when it loads, do a "View Source" (of the HTML page) on the page and locate a line that starts with:
var GLOBALS =[,,"8611101","gmail_fe_528_p4","A5pcKYmUmLY","7","X_E4tcT3ECGpBf3gOdJHWQ","/mail",100,"6c80a0a0b8",.....
This is from mine, and it says that this is gmail_fe_528_p4.
