I had a bad gateway transient error at some point that showed up in the bottom right corner of the main window. The error went away but the error icon stayed until I clicked it and dismissed the resulting dialog...
In general, transient errors should either not be reported or the reporting status should be reset when the error condition is gone (which appeared to be the case here, since I still received updates even after the error was shown).

Reading a reply in the timeline view should also mark it as read in the mentions view (and vice-versa). Right now, a reply read in the timeline view doesn't mark it as read in the mentions view, forcing users to check both views to properly sync them.
