Thanks Omni! I don't know why I didn't see that before. – Shawn Smith, on November 10, 2009 21:53

The OmniGraffle folks were nice enough to answer (above, and to me by both twitter and email), and the Export feature works great for me now.
PDF Export DOES do multiple pages. You just have to select "Entire Document" instead of "Current Canvas." Make sure "Include Notes" is checked. – Shawn Smith, on November 10, 2009 21:53
A comment on the problem "FontExplorer Pro Does not work in Snow Leopard" in Linotype:
I have the opposite problem. Whenever I restart, all my fonts are activated and I have to deactivate 2500 fonts every time. – Shawn Smith, on November 10, 2009 18:51
Shawn Smith replied on November 10, 2009 18:45 to the problem "FontExplorer Pro Does not work in Snow Leopard" in Linotype:
I've done some tinkering, and I've improved things. Now the problem is slightly different. Here's a little more detail:
Again, whenever I start up my computer, all my (2500+) fonts are activated. I can deactivate them in FontExplorer, but this is a time consuming process.
Furthermore, when I start up FontExplorer Pro to deactivate my fonts, they don't initially show up as "Activated." For example, even though all 2500+ fonts are appearing in my application menus, FontExplorer might show that only 87 are Activated. If I quit FontExplorer and relaunch it, that number might change to 912. If I quit FontExplorer again and relaunch again, then it shows the correct number of activated fonts. So I have to quit and relaunch FontExplorer twice before I can deactivate my fonts.

I'm using version 2.0.3. which supposedly works with Snow Leopard, but I'm still having the same issue. Last week I was able to see in FontExplorer that all of my 2,000+ fonts were "Active." I deactivated all of them, then re-activated the few that I wanted, and it worked for a bit. After a restart though, I'm back to the same problem. All my fonts are active (i.e. they show up in the menus of all my applications), but only a few are listed as "active" within FontExplorer. Activating or Deactivating within FontExplorer has no effect.

OmniGraffle Notes should 'travel' to other formatsIt would be really useful if the notes I create in my OmniGraffle docs would travel with the file when I export to HTML or print to PDF.

The company has done a terrible job of communicating about this. There's no mention of Snow Leopard on their website at all, and their "Support" link just takes you to a contact form.
I bet they're getting a lot of incoming emails via that contact form about Snow Leopard issues, and it seems like a pretty inefficient system.
They need Get Satisfaction (although, I see I'm the only person who's ever talked about them here, so maybe customer support has not been a big issue for them).

Shawn Smith reported a problem in Incase on August 18, 2009 20:48:
The handles on my laptop bag always catch on the velcroI bought a 15" laptop bag a year or so ago, and the handles always catch on the velcro side pocket closures. As a result of this, the handles are all frayed and fuzzy now. The problem could have been avoided if Incase had installed the velcro the other way around (i.e. swapping the hard side with the soft side). Or they could have made the handles a little shorter. Or they could have put the side pockets in a slightly different place. Or they could have made the handles out of a non-fraying material. But they didn't

Please add 'Food' as an event categoryThere are food events all the time in San Francisco, but there's no way to list these or look for them on Upcoming.

I'm a fan of twitterfeed and Mario MentiI just want to point out that Mario Menti is unbelievably responsive to user questions, problems, requests, etc. Nice work, and thanks!
A comment on the question "Twitterfeed no longer working" in twitterfeed:
Thanks Mario, The problem is that many of the feed items are event listings, and I think the event date is getting processed as the pub-date for some of the items. So even if you fix the date for one, another "wrong" date will just break it again. – Shawn Smith, on July 29, 2009 17:02
Shawn Smith replied on July 29, 2009 16:58 to the problem "My shared folder often does not update" in Dropbox:
Amy obviously is posting to the wrong place, but anyway, I wanted to say here that after I re-posted my issue (described above) on the Dropbox forum, they sent me an email with a resolution. In a nutshell, the person I was sharing my Dropbox folder with was running an older version. Since she upgraded, everything has been copacetic.
A simple solution that I should have thought of, but thanks Dropbox!
Shawn Smith replied on July 23, 2009 21:45 to the problem "My shared folder often does not update" in Dropbox:
One more point of clarification: As I mentioned, my colleague and I will both see the file icon with a green checkmark (indicating it's been synced), but there's a disconnect somehow. For example, she will see a file in the folder that is 8.7MB, but I will see the same file as being 6.1MB. When I open it, I'm able to verify that it is missing pages etc. that are not missing when she opens it). The web and my Mac are synced, so the problem seems to be between her and the web service.
She is editing the files directly from the Dropbox folder (she doesn't move them in and out of the Dropbox folder).
We both have MacOS (Leopard).

Shawn Smith reported a problem in Dropbox on July 20, 2009 16:47:
My shared folder often does not updateI'm sharing a folder with a colleague who's based in Israel (I'm in San Francisco). When she updates things in the folder, they appear updated on her end (per the green checkmark on the item icons). However, on my end, I still only see older versions of the files for quite some time. They also show a green checkmark, but they are not the most recent files.
This is often a big problem for me, because she will shut down (thinking everything is updated), but I'm not able to see her most recent work.
I'm not sure this is a simple latency issue though, because even if she leaves her computer (and Dropbox) running for a while, the items still don't update on my end.

I'm having the same problem. My feed has a lot of new items that have not been pushed to twitter. It hasn't updated twitter in a couple of days.

Shawn Smith replied on May 16, 2009 21:46 to the idea "I wish Dropbox would sync items from their native location" in Dropbox:
Sean, If Dropbox worked as I suggested, it wouldn't prevent you from using Dropbox just as it works today. You could still have a workspace area for Dropbox activity. The only difference is, it could be any folder you designate or create. You would just right-click on a folder (instead of a file) and choose "Add to Dropbox." Then, you could use that folder just like you use Dropbox today.
