Michael replied on February 06, 2009 09:38 to the question "asking all adult network owners to answer this" in SocialGO:
I'm moving to Zocku but am unsure if it's the right decision. I think Socialgo is still very buggy and I feel they should have waited with charging us. On the other hand the potential of the system is huge and the help center guys have proven to be dedicated (at least in my case). I can also imagine that they need to earn some money by now to keep developing their platform so II give them the benefit of the doubt and feel hopeful now that I registered.

Thank you Tom. I am passionate and serious about my network and would prefer not to ask for compulsary membership. Maybe you are right that advertising and asking for donations would cover the costs.
I do however think that the bugs still present on Socialgo (especially uploading issues) should be resolved if you are going to charge us.
I will ask my members for advice and their opinion on the issue.
Michael asked a question in SocialGO on February 05, 2009 11:55:
Zocku network free trial first.Because there are still bugs in Socialgo I'm worried about the quality of zocku, com. We are asked to pay 50 dollars a month, from May and extra 20 dollars for membership billing (by paypal? This is also still not clear to me) is added and I thinks that's quite a leap of faith. I think it would be reasonable to have a few months to try out the new service before we have to pay. I need to know that the bugs are resolved, the network is not slow, membership billing and advertising works fine.

Michael replied on January 29, 2009 23:19 to the problem "Unable to delete videos from my site" in SocialGO:
I'm also unable to delete videos from my owner account. I get the delete button but when I click delete I get a blank screen. And then strangely enough in the newsfeed it says that I actually added the video I just wanted to delete...When will this be fixed? It seems like the problem has existed for some time now.-

Michael replied on January 12, 2009 12:26 to the question "Difference between banning and deleting members" in SocialGO:
Thank you Ryan, that is quite clear. I see a 'ban button' when I enter the admin area and click manage members. But when I'm in the website itself, I do see the 'delete member' button but not the 'ban member' button.
I have great difficulty managing my members. It looks good but I would like to give my new members a chance to look around the site for a while before they have to upload material. Then after a week if they turn out to be inactive I would like to remove them from the site. But since the 'manage members' list is in alphabetical order I cannot easily sort the latest from the older members and have to go though hundreds of profiles to find the newbies.
I would really like to be able to order the list.
Michael replied on January 12, 2009 12:19 to the question "Edit member profiles" in SocialGO:
I have found out what the problem is. If a person has filled in their profile, say one month ago, and the moderator ads new profile questions later with the 'required' ticked the moderator can then not change the profile name without also having to fill in the missing info on the members profile. Maybe this can be fixed for the moderator?
Michael asked a question in SocialGO on January 10, 2009 11:52:
Difference between banning and deleting membersWhat is the difference between banning and deleting a member? I sometimes want to ban members, and then later maybe delete the banned members.
So instead of a 'delete member' button I would like to (also) have a 'ban member' button.

Michael asked a question in SocialGO on January 10, 2009 11:49:
Edit member profilesI cannot edit my members' profiles. For my members to become permanent members (after an initial introductory week) I want to put an asterix behind their name for those who have met the requirements. I click edit profile, I add an asterix behind their last name and click update at the bottom of the page. But the asterix doesn't show up on their profile. Please help.
I would not need to use asterixes if I could sort the memberlist on date of subscription...

Michael asked a question in SocialGO on January 09, 2009 12:32:
sorting memberlist by date of registrationI want to moderate my memberlist but there doesn't seem to be an option to sort the list by date, only by alphabet. I would like to sort by date of registration because I want to give people some time to update their profile and let them check out the site within a certain time span. Is that option not available or am I overseeing somthing. I really need that option.

@ Evil Genius - I thank you for your response it has certainly got me thinking and doubting the whole project even more. Of course I don't want to abuse anyone. I realise that porn customers are responsible for huge internet traffic. On the other hand it's absurd that so many customers could not generate a decent income by advertisement revenue. But maybe your URL link can shed some light on this. I will read it closely later today.
@ Ryan - registering a domain does certainly not cost 15 euros per month, it might cost that per year. Where did you get that information?
@ Kryket - I agree with you that I've never seen a social network with so much potential. And therefore I keep telliing my members to stick it out for the moment.
My motivation for starting my adult network was to create a platform where members with the same fetish could meet and share videos and photos. A bit like Youtube but then with a soclal network attached to it. By no means did I intend to create a professional adult hosting company. I don't want to spend blood sweat and tears on it.
I have a suggestion. What if we only linked to videos on networks like youtube and dailymotion and not upload anything (or just a few GB) to Socialgo, might that be a cheap option?
