New Balance achilles heel - poor heels?I am on my second, swanky pair of NBs. Loved them both. The first pair have holes all over now. The second pair are in great nick, but for the heels, which are destroyed on the inside of both shoes. I spent over £100 on these 1221s (the current pair) and, just like my first pair (802s), the lining, cushioning and support round the heel/achilles has just fallen apart and disintergrated. How can this be such an...achilles heel...for an otherwise great shoe/make?

However, you might like to know BT are actually the good guys! Seriously, experiences like yours aside, they are "leaders in the field of CSR".
