Michael started following the question "Are there any plans to allow adding transactions in offline mode?" in Buxfer.

iPhone application crash when entering task descriptionWhen creating a new task in the iPhone application, entering the task description results in a crash of the application.
The crash can occur very fast when typing fast with two fingers.
When typing more slowly the crash occurs when pressing done.

Michael replied on July 03, 2009 10:47 to the idea "Good site. Could be great." in Buxfer:
Regarding the native app. My wife and I often travel in countries where connectivity is limited. It would be VERY good to be able to enter transactions off-line with synchronization to the web whenever we come back on-line (either automatically or upon explicit user request).
Since we are living in a country (The Netherlands) where we cannot synchronize with our bank directly we enter all our transaction manually as they occur. The lack of offline feature results in spending long evening entering our business travel expenses on the web. With offline feature on our iPhone this hassle would simply vanish.
Another good aspect of offline feature/native iPhone app would be speed: just have the latest meta information (spending/income/IOUs) as last obtained from the internet plus a limited number of past transactions. You would end up with a much faster iPhone app than when you constantly query the net for info as soon as you press a button. Since it's for on the go consultation having the exact latest info always available is not a very important requisite.
I hope these comments help and will tip th escale in the favor of an offline mode on the iPhone app.

Jaanus,
The problem above went away. Now I have 2 problems:
Problem #1: When using the old toggl widget the information is not saved: I see "saving..." written at the bottom of the widget and nothing else. I know it's not saving because when I went to Toggl on the web I had a nice dashboard telling me I hadn't logged any time this week... Everything was working fine last Friday. That's problem #1
Problem #2: the new widget doesn't start. I simply see a blank window with a black icon in the desktop toolbar. By new I mean the widget released this week-end, with off-line capability.
Any clue?
Thanks,
Michael

Toggl Widget Stopped WorkingI've discovered Toggl a month ago and love it. It's at home on my Mac and at work on my PC... However today things don't work out so well.
When launching the new Toggl widget (downloaded today) I get a blank window and nothing happens.
When launching the old toggl widget (downloaded a month ago) I cannot login: it tells me my user name or password is incorrect (I get the same error message with Toggl Desktop)
When using the same user name and password on firefox I have not problem at all.
As background information:
Last week Toggl widget (the old one) was working perfectly fine. Today it does not work anymore. I am using Toggl in a company wich strict network policy (they might have blocked a port Toggl Widget uses).
I run Windows XP
I use my gmail account to sign-in
The following could help me:
If the widget uses a special port, knowing which one it is I could check with my IT dept and see if they changed it over the week-end
If it's not a port problem then a solution would be nice (cache maybe?)
Thanks,
M.
