Well, according to Nintendo, you first need to to have someone signed up on your friends list. Then, when you choose to gift something, your friends list will come up and you will choose who to send it to. When you get the gift, a message will come up on the message board and they will have the option to claim the gift. If it is not claimed within 45 days, the points will be returned.-

Can I buy odd amounts of Wii points?Is it possible to buy other numbers of wii points then the amounts given? E.g., can I buy 3 or 4 dollars worth of wii points rather than 10?
