This seems to be solved now...

I have a feeling that this fault only shows for a few hours after adding domains to a list... after that time the numbers are correct!!

If you look on the front page of PinkWindow.com there is a "STORE VACATION" message stateing that the shop owner will be away from 7/8/09 to 8/5/09 and that any order placed after 7/8/09 will be sent out on 8/6/09!

By any chance is this still on the cards? I still really think this is a necessary addition and, as I said before, a good way for AboutUs to get free "word of mouth" advertising.

You could also maybe have a look at the twitter equivalent too.

I've just noticed that when the new bot created pages for ".com.au" domain names it created it like this - .cOm.au

No way of listing - VirginLimobike.com

Hi,

There currently is no way of listing VirginLimobike.com as it is a sub folder of Virgin.com and your new "anti redirect" function kicks in and stops it being listed. I even tried creating a empty page and moving it to "virginlimobike.com"... but your system is being too clever!

I personally still think that your system should notice the redirect... But insted of just showing a the "this URL redirects" page it should automatically create a redirected page...

This way, if it is a domain like "VirginLimobike.com" the user can use the "?redirect=no" functionality to edit the page... or if it is a domain that meant to be redirected they will automatically see the correct page!

Hi,

Firstly I would like to say that I don't really like this new section... I seems to take up allot of space for something that is in tag form anyway! I personally think it would be better if it said - xxxxx.com is related to x lists... [View] and then on clicking view it showed you all the list names (ajax style)! But that's now veering into a suggestion... So here's the fault,

Next to the "list" name there is a summery in brackets... This currently doesn't seem to be working properly...

I.e. on -

UK.VirginMoney.com is showing ( 1,000+ / 54) (position 45 in the actual list)
Virgin.com is showing ( 1 / 54) (position 1 in the actual list)
VirginActive.es ( 52 / 54) (position 55 in the actual list)

The "new style" seem to have this issue now too!! (only just started!)

Also the "Special:Whatredirectshere" functionality also seems to be broken... (see... http://www.aboutus.org/MadForBadges.c... redirects to http://www.aboutus.org/BrilliantBadge... but it doesnt show up on the "WRH" page)

Sorry... I have more!

1) There needs to be a size / quality limit on the logos (or some sort of code to reduce them)! As at the moment the upload section is just accepting the full size images - See http://www.aboutus.org/TheLastRomanti...!

2) I loving the way the new bot finds redirected pages before creation... But I've found, intermittently, this comes up if the domain name redirects to the "www." version, making it hard to create the page.

Also wouldn't it be better to auto create a redirect page for the requested url? Otherwise your new bot might have to "re-check" the URL quite allot!

3) Is there any chance you can make the bot auto scan/create all "related domains" that are added as this would not only increase the amount of AboutUs pages it would also be a good way of removing dead links!

4) Also is there anyway you can get your bot to "work a few weekends" and get it to delete/regenerate all pages that have no edits... as I've recently done this too a few "low quality" pages and the new bot has increasingly made them better!!
