Well, I usually use a 14 character string for password to ALL sites on the internet. I changed my Ident.ca password to an 8 character string password and was able to authenticate Ping.fm to my identi.ca account with no problem.

When I reset my Identi.ca password back to the 14 character string, and tried to change the information on ping.fm, I was NOT able to authenticate. I am tending to believe that it maybe the fact the first character is a '/'. I am going to do some more testing now.

1st update: 14 character password starts with 'p': Could NOT authenticate
2nd update: 10 character password starts with 'Y': Could NOT authenticate
3rd update: 9 character password starts with 'b': Authenticated
4th update: 9 character password starts with ',': Authenticated

So, it looks as if there is a character limit that ping is sending to identi.ca or that identi.ca is accepting from ping.

I hope that this helps you guys figure out the cause.

Sorry, did you just ask for my username and password to identi.ca? I know that it is just a social networking site, but that is rather bad form to be asking for usernames and passwords to anything!

I cannot add Identi.ca account to my Ping.fm.

I have tried multiple time to add my Identi.ca acct to my Ping.fm and I always get the same message:

"Could not authenticate your Identi.ca information"

I know that the username and password are good because I copy and paste the password to the website and I am logged in fine.

I used to have it setup just fine, and now I cannot get it to reconnect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I upgraded my Growl to 1.1.3 and hahlo and the userscript started working great. I am not sure why, but it works now.

The Generic Browser referred to by Wilfred works great on my Blackberry 7100. The full fledged site will not let me Check In at Placemarks which was a tad annoying. I also do not have SMS on my phone, so that was not a possibility. I am glad that the Generic browser is working.

Growl Notifications not showing up

I am not getting any growl notifications with the use of YungSang's userscript. I have checked and the script is checked as active. I have uninstalled it twice and still cannot get the notifications to come up. Any help would be appreciated.

Brightkite does not find my address. I input the exact address NUMBER STREET, CITY, ZIP. I am not sure why it cannot find my address. Google Maps, Mapquest and other online mapping services all can find it.

How can I get Brightkite to recognize the address that I spen most of my time?

Want to Sign up again with old email address

I closed my account to perform a reset of my GTD system, esp since I was not using it very much. I want to sign up with the same email address. I did the sign up page and got the intro email (with my new email address), but I cannot login to the site.

I get "Can you give that another whirl? (Make sure you're using the primary email address associated with your account.)" error.

Can you delete ALL instances of michaelramm[at]gmail[dot]com so that I can re-sign up and get to using Sandy again.
