Actually, on Adium 1.3.6 I dont have this problem anymore.

If Twitter supported Gravatars, it would help encourage other web services to play the integration game, which is good for everyone.

Having every web service exist as an isolated island of data just hurts the end users and stifles innovation.

but to be precise: this not only happens when Adium starts, but almost once per hour or so.
There seems to be a new Adium trac ticket for this (#11720) but it's new and un-assigned yet, unfortunately.

I'm using Foxmarks for Safari on the Safari 4 beta and don't see the "Foxmarks for Safari" entry in the preferences pane. Can't I dig it out somewhere else in the Application Support folders maybe? B/c i have the same problem, it doesn't sync anymore, although the initial syncs were fine.

I understand that OFF switches off notifications. But if I want to control that per user, there's 'off username' and 'leave username' mentioned in the FAQ. Maybe it could be clarified there?

Ok got it:
The problem was that I gave only my GMail username without the domain name.
So for all people trying it with GTalk: put your full gmail address in, not only the username!

some more info: i can track something, i can nudge ThomasHan (even so he didn't want to be nudged at the time) and stats now shows: followers: 0, following: 0, tracking: 'cosmology' .
So it quite looks like i'm logged in as some anonymous, in case that is a feature possible.

oh and i guess i really should mention, that giving that green code never got me a sensible reply like 'you have now activated' or so, just nothing, silentio.. after typing that green code I get from IM settings.
However, the twiiter talk buddy talks to me when i type 'on' or 'off' or 'stats'. So I guess i'm in some kind of unregistered mode..?
