Make sure you have installed the free DivX codec. There is a known issue with playback via Windows Media Player with certain codecs (e.g. Xvid).

The file is being served from the Amazon S3 web service via HTTP. Unlike FTP downloads, there is no way to recommence a file download from S3 in the event of an error.

That depends on your ISP. On an ADSL2+ home broadband connection in Sydney it takes me around 70mins to download.
