Well, that is thrilling to hear. I consider it both a vote for simplicity and a hat tip to the free market solution. Built-in favorites, rating systems, and other complicated what not are not always necessary. Users are smart and will create their own way. Which, in this user's opinion, is much more fun.

machine tags - now I get it

I know this happened weeks ago, but I still wanted to mention it.

Machine tags are now displayed separately and it is wonderful!
I understood the basic idea machine tags on huffduffer before, but didn't really get how they had any more value than regular tags. Actually, I just thought they made my tag cloud look sort of weird. Once they were displayed on their own though, it totally made sense. I love it. It kind of makes me want to machine tag the world.

I wonder if something like this could this work for other features too so that pretty a mailbox could essentially be managed through email.

For instance to:
- setup a new url as an inbound rss feed
- get the url for rss updates for the mailbox
- delete this mailbox

Just a thought!

Maybe hovering over the TO: part of a message could display the full email address. Like how notes are shown when you hover over a mailbox.

Allow note creation by email.

I email the mailbox that I want to save a note to with something like for:note @note #note +note or whatever somewhere in the message or subject and the note is autosaved to that mailbox. Maybe it works only from my "real" address, so that you know it is me.

Hi! What characters are used in determining a mailbox name? Or maybe better asked, what characters are not used? For instance, I have noticed that underscore is used in a mailbox name, but that a period is not.

A message sent to "Some_Site@..." will go in a mailbox "Some_Site"

A message sent to "Some.Site@..." will go in a mailbox "Somesite" as will a message to "Somesite@..."

Running into a little trouble with huffduffs from poptech.org/popcasts. On huffduffer the download button seems to work but the player shows an "error opening file" message. Not working in the podcast at all.
