We can handle traffic a little more robust than that. :) – Melanie Baker, on August 12, 2008 15:48

Hmmm, might that have anything to do with the 700 new blogs I imported? *innocent eyes* – db0, on August 12, 2008 15:46

It looks like it correlates to a big traffic spike we had -- took a while for the system to chew through the analysis. – Melanie Baker, on August 12, 2008 14:39

Indeed Melanie. This is what AideRSS showed as last update (it went up to 24h actually). Eventually it updated. – db0, on August 12, 2008 14:32

Just to confirm, the 18 hours number was what was listed for your feed on our site? (Just confirming if your feed got caught in a prior backlog.) Your feed's currently listed as updated three hours ago, so that's improved. – Melanie Baker, on August 12, 2008 14:10

I'm having the same issue as well. Currently my own feed is at 18 hours which is a bit much.
I also have another similar issue in which I have taken my personal AideRSS feed through Feedburner in order to give it to other people (Why? See here)
I've already got 3 subscribers but it seems that the feed updates very infrequently. Is there any way to speed this up?
A possibly good option would be a button for the user to force a manual refresh.

Time varies depending on how many subscribers you have on this feed. With a single subscriber, your feed should be updated at least once every 8 hours. – Ilya Grigorik, on June 18, 2008 20:54

Brooklyn, I didn't adjust anything on our end -- one of our spiders was behind on his work, but caught up yesterday. Yes it should work moving forward, if that is not the case, then please let us know. – Ilya Grigorik, on June 18, 2008 12:24

Just to add more info, here is my blog: http://finnfactory.blogspot.com/. I have a few posts that have gotten a nice bit of love from digg but that isn't reflected on the AideRSS site. How do I fix? please...

It seems to be drifting beyond the 4 hour update window pretty often. We're at five hours right now.
The feed is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/MapmemeAll
The use is intended to be here:
http://www.mapmeme.com/
I would like to have our front page show the top posts for the day, but that's not very useful when the RSS updates so infrequently. If you can bump the priority up a bit, that would be great.
Thanks!
