In the meantime I solved the problems.....the only way it working out is to remove (rename) personal info in Firefox (documents and settings) and do a comple reinstall. (you can use the Firefox addons (or even Mozilla backup tool) for your bookmarks & passw file to reinstall do this before you remove your old Firefox version, you need those files for import again.

Am getting a similar problem:
Secure Connection Failed
www.amazon.co.uk uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate expired on 12/02/2008 23:59.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
Not just on amazon, but on a ton of sites e.g. humyo.com, 123-reg.co.uk. Should I have to make exceptions for 50% of the sites I visit? Running Windows Xp and had no probs with FF2. Hope you can help as with a web browser, I'd like to be able to browse the web.
Thanks
