Hi atreiu ! thanks for your reply,
i tried to find an idea suggestion about it and couldn't but i'm sure it has been suggested before.
however the post about the web interface you mentioned is not quite the same, they are talking about remotely controlling the system that has the songbird installed on (correct me if i have misunderstood) and i'm talking about streaming the media over to other machines so you could play it anywhere – mijael, on June 12, 2009 16:49-

Stream Songbird music library across the internethow about an add-on that streams your music library across the internet ?
the music server could have an API so that any third side software could interface with it and play your Songbird music library on your iphone/android/ whatever through the internet.
it could be cool if you would be able to drive in your car and listen to your loved songs or pre-made playlists without having to store any music on your phone. or work on someone else's computer and still be able to listen to your fav tracks.

exit button not on the top right corner of the screenit might be too stupid to be called a bug, but still it's an abnormal behavior in windows oriented OS:
when Sonbird window is maximized (in Windows) it seems that the exit button is not on the top right corner of the screen, rather a tiny bit down from there. so when you want to exit SB instead of just going quickly to the corner and left click the mouse you have to go quickly to the corner and a bit down from there and the left click
is this on purpose ?

i think the two problems are not related.
my problem is that firefox freezes completely for about 5 seconds after i enter a word in the awesome bar and press enter. i don't quite understand what it has to do with the other problem. – mijael, on May 11, 2009 14:57

Firefox freezes for a few seconds after searching for a word with awesome barI have a really annoying problem with the awesome bar:
If i enter a normal URL everything is fine and Firefox is transferring me to the web page i have asked immediately.
When i enter a word to look up in the awesome bar and press the enter key, Firefox completely freezes for about 5 seconds and only after it transfers me to the web page related to the word or to a Google search with the word.
This is very annoying. in the 5 seconds that Firefox freezes i can't do anything with it, the whole user interface is stuck and nothing responds, neither other tabs.
I am using Firefox 3.0.10 and i have also tried to run Firefox in safe mode without all the extensions but still, same thing happens.
Can anyone help solve this frustrating problem ?
Thanks.

can i write a ubiquity com that affects other system processes ?i'm pretty new to ubiquity, and i want to write a ubiquity command.
to be more specific, i want it to read out loud the marked text using text-to-speech software on windows - microsoft sam.
my question is if it's possible for ubiquity to affect processes that are not part of firefox and create an ISpVoice object for windows to read it ?
thanks-
