Yeah, I was hoping to have something similar (keyboard shortcuts) for DVDs and Video Games. Maybe a sub-menu under "File->New Item" with the ability to add a blank version of each item category? I use "Menu Master" from Unsanity, and it would allow me to assign my own shortcut commands if there were options available in the menus.

COMMAND-OPTION-N for "Add Blank Book"Skip the Amazon search by holding down OPTION and clicking the "+" button. (and COMMAND-OPTION-N being the keyboard equivilant). For example I have a lot of sheet music in my collection that is handwritten and I'm almost completely sure it's not on Amazon. I'd like to skip the extra click. Thanks.

I have this same problem on the iPhone, now that you mention it. Spacebar automatically selects the "suggestion" unless I cancel its suggestion by tapping the little X next to it. The equivalent in this situation seems to be pressing ESC right before I press spacebar. Of course a preference box to turn off autocomplete in the notes section would help too.

Ah... I see... it's kind of a bug in Apple's autocompletion... when there's only one choice left, Apple apparently auto-selects that choice, and then when you hit spacebar apparently it takes that as "Oh, you're confirming your selection with the space bar? Great! I'll just go ahead and fill it in, then..."
Hrm. Not entirely sure how to work around this... it's tough to fight Apple's built-in behaviors without breaking other stuff. Hrm...

When I have this problem with autocomplete, it's when I'm typing new text that's similar to what's in autocomplete's memory, when I hit the spacebar autocomplete interprets that as making a selection, does its thing, then it continues with my typing.
I agree with hmelman that having autocomplete with creator would be a good idea along with making the text about 30% darker.-

Auto Complete a Complete Pain in the Buttauto-complete is an annoying pain in the butt. When I try to type "Violin part missing" I end up typing "Violin and viola part missing part missing" because auto complete assumes I approve of its suggestion and I want to ADD to it.
