Text-formatting toolbarBasecamp needs a simple formatting toolbar, eh? If it allows simple HTML for links and formatting in messages, writeboards and even to-do list items, why not make it easier to do, eh? A toolbar that allows for quick text justification, bold/italic options, hyperlinking, etc. would be awesome.

Auto-complete for usernames - easier @-ingThis morning, I had a thought (yes, just one): It would be awesome if Twhirl had an auto-complete function for filling in the names of Twitterers I'm @-ing. I find it hard to believe I'm the only person who is about to manually reply to someone but had to go look up a username to make sure I have it right.
So tell me: This is a brilliant idea, right?

What you said makes sense, TK. But consider this my official "on record" statement as saying this change in direction would be well worth it! – Mike, on January 09, 2009 02:19

I think this is a great idea, but maybe it's just me. – Mike, on January 08, 2009 22:06-

Mike asked a question in TweetDeck on November 25, 2008 00:19:
Notification sound optionsAm I missing something, or is it not possible to get a notification sound only for, say, replies and direct messages?

I would love some way to create a filtered "group," based on people I want to follow more closely than most others, without having to create some secondary Twitter account.
For this very reason, I really *want* to love Tweetdeck, but I'm pretty sure I can't stand it. I've tried using it a few times, but I can't go more than a day or so without going back to Twhirl. Adding this "group"-type functionality -- which could, perhaps, be treated as a separate tab (if that approach to the UI were adopted) or as a separate "service window" (in the current approach to handling multiple services) -- would be *outstanding*.-

I, too, would like to see the option to have auto-spell-check in Twhirl. Some people don't want it, so the simple solution is to allow it to be turned on an off.
I understand the desire to have multiple languages supported, but that can't be too hard, right? I'm not a developer by any stretch of the imagination, but once you have the foundation of the code that actually executes the spell-checking, isn't it basically just a matter of having an option of relying on a different dictionary/language?
Anyway, it might not be the biggest fish you have to fry right now, but I would be pleased to see it.-

Mike replied on August 04, 2008 02:21 to the question "I removed Twitter, but FriendFeed still shows new tweets" in friendfeed:
It was resolved. Via the Google Groups forum for FriendFeed support, someone from FriendFeed fixed it manually for me.

Mike asked a question in friendfeed on June 17, 2008 14:36:
I removed Twitter, but FriendFeed still shows new tweetsI've removed Twitter from the services I have pumped into FriendFeed, but my tweets still appear on my FriendFeed page (http://friendfeed.com/mjkeliher). It's been about 24 hours since I removed Twitter from my list of FriendFeed services. Why is this still happening?
It's a problem because I'd like to take my RSS feed from FriendFeed and pump it into Twitter via TwitterFeed. But if FF is still importing my tweets, this creates a nasty, unending loop of Twitter messages.
