Jared,
Thanks for reaching out. And yes, we are listening.
A recurring contribution is mandatory but we are enhancing the goal creation process to allow users the ability to set their own recurring contribution by end of year.
Please feel free to reach out directly to me anytime at mferrari(at)smartypig(dot)com.

Jenn,
Thanks for checking in. Provided things go as planned, we will have this implemented in 4th quarter. I know how important this feature is to you and others. As always, some things that were prioritized prior to this feature took longer than anticipated. Selfishly, I too REALLY want this feature so you are not alone.

HR_Roberts,
Funds take 3 business days to clear into your SmartyPig account. During this time, funds are considered "pending" and you can not edit your goal. If you wish to close your goal and redeem your funds, you must wait an additional 2 business days after your last cleared transaction before doing so.
Thanks.

Mike Ferrari replied on July 10, 2009 01:56 to the question "username instead of full name displayed" in SmartyPig:
@blackmilk,
Thanks for the suggestion. The primary account holder's full name must be displayed. This was something that was determined early on in building out the SmartyPig site in conjunction with our banking partners both in the US and in Australia. We would not want to display the user's username. But a nickname might be a possibility. I will pass your request off to the bank for their input. If this is something they would agree to, we will consider it for implementation at a later date.
Thank you again.

Jenn,
This is absolutely in the pipeline and is in our top 3 enhancements to the site right now. This will be completed within the next three months.
As you can see, you are not alone on this request, and we have received enough feedback to warrant us placing a very high priority on it.
Thanks for your patience.
