Thanks for the response. If this is fixable then it looks like PlannerX is something that I can really use. Would it be possible to notify me when a fix has been made?

Don't understand how link between TripIt and expens'd is supposed to work
How and when does the link between TripIt and expens'd work? I have signed into both services and gone through the linking process and both applications seem to believe that they are linked.

I already have a trip successfully created in TripIt, but when I linked to expens'd no expenses seemed to be created in expens'd. How and when to expenses associated with a trip get populated into expens'd? Does this happen when travel bookings are first sent to TripIt? There appears to be no explanation of how all of this works - so I am completely unsure if for future trips things will be nicely automated (like I was expecting) or if there is anything I can do to get expensed related to the trip already in TripIt into expens'd. Can someone help clarify all this for me please?

    PlannerX mangles people's names
My Basecamp projects have a person called Françoise Petersen in several of the projects. In PlannerX this comes out with the crazy string "Françoise P". This is the 21st century, and failure to fully support internationalized characters seems to be a very fundamental mistake - especially as Basecamp itself does - and hence it can be expected that the imported names will have accents on,

UTF-8 has been widely used now for a very long time - and expecting people to misrepresent people's names by mistyping them in ASCII is not a socially acceptable option in today's globalized world. Also failing to do this is a design option that does not work, as you can expect to be importing UTF-8 characters, and they must therefore be correctly rendered on output. I have not been able to see if this serious flaw affects the ability of PlannerX to assign tasks to people by matching abbreviated names to people in the database - but I can see that this too could be compromised (can't test this in the demo mode).

If you can fix this basic but fundamental weakness - I would love to use PlannerX as you seem to have designed something that is, in all othe respects, a brilliant front-end to Basecamp.
