Mike G asked a question in IntenseDebate on September 15, 2009 04:08:
way too many commentsI was having an issue with people leaving comments and them not showing up with intensedebate, so I reset the plugin and resynced the comments. the problem that happened, though is that one of my posts duplicated one comment over 10,000 times and i can't seem to get rid of them, even with a reinstall.
help!

strange characters showing up when using a pc with firefoxi had someone tell me today that they've tried to leave comments several times on posts using firefox on a pc from work, and every time it showed strange characters. when they went to the same posts from their macs from home, they were able to leave a comment without any problem. they said that this problem has repeated itself several times.
Besides the obvious - macs are just better :), what could possibly be the problem and how could i solve it?
by the way, it's a self-hosted wordpress blog running wordpress 2.7
