Just select multiple photos and do right-click -> View Photos. Then you can go next / prev (you can also open the viewer by selecting the photos and pressing Command-Return).

One of the reasons for not doing it at the moment is because the Shortcuts pane is already too overcrowded.

Adding a Tweet it menu item is not too hard. Making it a global hotkey although is a bit harder (not technically but architecturally). I would definitely put a TODO for this.

You can already do that. You will need to go to System Preferences. Then Keyboard & Mouse. Then Keyboard Shortcuts. Press the plus button. Select EventBox as the application and then for the title enter All Events (for the main window) or Heads-Up Display for the HUD. Then set the shortcut and you're good to go.

Our plans are currently on hold regarding NewsGator / NNW. It will largely be duplicating functionality found in Google Reader (mainly the syncing). We haven't ruled out an implementation yet.
