Totally agree. We've got stuff planned for the future (by the way, you want to take a look at http://thecosmicmachine.com/eventbox/...).

Hi,
Have you checked out how to use the shortening features? You can take a look in the manual http://thecosmicmachine.com/eventbox/...

Can you make a short screencast illustrating the problem you're having? Also email us at cm-support for some further debugging instructions. – Milen Dzhumerov, on February 04, 2009 21:56
Milen Dzhumerov replied on February 04, 2009 21:41 to the question "Thoughts on Webkit and Last.fm" in The Cosmic Machine:
Our general philosophy goes along these lines: we prefer providing a native way (non-web) to interact / access the features a web service provides.
For example, looking at Twitter when we initially launched, there were many missing bits which were quite essential but you had to resort to the web browser. Search in particular turned out to work brilliantly when integrated.
Having said that, there are many tasks which need a web browser. Reading blog posts is one such example. We know about the need of an embedded browser (there is a very lightweight browser in EB, you can trigger it by pressing Command-Return on a non-picture event) and we do have plans to put one in place so that you wouldn't have to leave the application to perform some basic tasks.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Just disable the option. We can also give you a trial extension, just drop us an email. – Milen Dzhumerov, on February 04, 2009 21:27

A comment on the question "Any ETA on Last.fm? Is this even being worked on currently?" in The Cosmic Machine:
Our site reflects the long term strategy. Another thing to keep in mind is that implementing support for Instapaper took maybe a day or two but implementing a whole new type of service (we don't even have anything similar to Last.fm at the moment) takes a lot more resources and time. Usually, we only schedule the feature set for the next update as opposed to scheduling what's going to happen for the next 6 months. That's the reason why we cannot predict when Last.fm support will be available but we can certainly say that we will do it. – Milen Dzhumerov, on February 04, 2009 15:34
