Currently, EB will have a bit of trouble handling that many feeds (it's actually my fault with a design decision during the initial development period). In the meantime (i.e., while we haven't issued a fix), if you delete locally old feed posts, that should speed it up. – Milen Dzhumerov, on May 05, 2009 16:53

A comment on the problem "Hanging up and eating processes" in The Cosmic Machine:

There is one thing you could try but I haven't tested it, so I'm not absolutely sure what *exactly* is going to happen (basically, it will be like initializing the the GR plugin for the first time, only difference being that you wouldn't have to enter your password as it's already saved).

A comment on the problem "Hanging up and eating processes" in The Cosmic Machine:

It's related to the number of feeds / feed posts, especially the number of feed posts. One way to confirm that this is the issue you're having and not a different one, is to locally delete (select and right-click --> delete) all the feed posts you're not interested in anymore. What you should be able to do then is create a smart folder with the following criteria:
- Author username is [insert author username]

To create such a smart folder, right-click on Twitter and select New Smart Folder. I would also suggest running the bleeding edge branch of EventBox as it has some the ability to edit smart folders once you've created them. See http://milen.tumblr.com/post/95427326... for more information.

If you're experiencing hanging during refresh / slow startup, give this experimental build a go (http://thecosmicmachine.com/downloads...) - it should improve things.

I guess ideally you would be able to pick and choose modules - e.g. each module is $2. We never really thought about segmentation before so there's not much I can really say. We might discuss this at some later point internally.

The reason why it's displayed twice is because Finder tells us so - it believes Times is installed two times. I may add a conditional to not include different instances of apps more than once in an update.

The reason why it's not titled more contextually is because the same text is used in other services - where the custom title wouldn't make sense. So we just went for the general wording which might not be that obvious. – Milen Dzhumerov, on April 17, 2009 21:04

The plus and minus signs represent services - not the current selection. We have plans to rethink some of these parts.
