Sure but this really depends on the type of support. For our company, 99% of the cases can only be answered by me or my fellow developers.

I'm not disputing the value of GS but I'm saying that in some cases, companies should have the ability to control where most of the support happens (assuming that the said companies provide similar facilities like GS). It's a pain in the ass to look around many different places to find your users and help them.

In case we move to a different support solution in the future, I'd rather not have our users go to GS from Google searches just because you have higher page rank. If you're really committed to user satisfaction, then you would understand that it's better for users to end up straight on the official forums than on unofficial non-supported GS page (the paragraph assumes that the company has its own hosted solution which provides similar functionality). – Milen Dzhumerov, on March 31, 2009 22:18

That's a feature we will provide in a future update. For the moment, the best workaround is to create a smart folder which only shows the favorite items from Google Reader. It will not exactly mirror the one on the web but it should be pretty close.

They do use the system proxy (we use the standard networking of the OS which takes care of all the details). Are you using a public proxy or something special?

You need to do two things:
1) Set EventBox to be the default RSS reader
2) Setup the internal handler

You do both things from the Preferences and then the General pane.

This is a known issue and our initial investigation showed that the issue came from a library we use. There is no immediate workaround for this at the moment. We will try to rectify this before 1.0 ships.

After further investigation, we've found the issue. Each user can adjust whether it will appear in API calls. You can find it under It's under Settings --> Privacy Settings --> Application (on Facebook). The reason you're not seeing pictures / status updates from certain friends is because they've changed the default setting.
