GMail is a great service and has made my life a whole lot easier. But as a developer myself i must say that not having the ability to unthread is a big hassle. Especially for my bug reports, which customers always label the same...
Also gmail easily thinks of unrelated mails with similar titles as one conversation, when in fact its more... This is a big problem.
