I had a similar issue on another site, except that I couldn't view certain international characters in comments posted by others. Steven G. (artfuldodga) verified that we were both using the Unicode Character set (UTF-8) but he suggested checking the region and language settings in the Windows Control Panel to verify that those languages are enabled as additional languages. I've enabled all of the languages that my contacts use, so I'll be monitoring those exchanges for any improvement.

To unblock someone, visit http://pownce.com/settings/blocked_fans and click the unblock button next to their name.
Hope that helps!

How do I UNblock someone that I inadvertently blocked? When I 'un-friended' someone I now realize that I also blocked them. I am looking for a way to remove the block but can't seem to find any. Supposedly this user is now a "blocked fan" but doesn't show up on my fan list. The fan count is also off (as is friends count) but I don't know if that is related.

minmax2k, if this is a problem that is happening only on Pownce (that is, on pownce.com, and not on socialthing.com), then it is something unrelated to the fact that you have an account on socialthing.com.
If it is happening on both sites, then it is probably something bug-related in firefox 3. Does this behavior exist in other browsers or just firefox? And also, can you reliably reproduce the problem? If so, what are the steps to reproduce it?
Thanks for your help.

Text input focus "jumps" from comment/reply box on Pownce... I think it's SocialThing "scanning" input for possible referral? Or not?Just so you're aware, I also posted this on Pownce. I'm not sure what the source of the problem is yet. I'm using Firefox 3Beta5 going to disable my add-ins & extensions to see if anything changes.
Here's what I posted on Pownce:
If you use SocialThing: I've been noticing when entering text in Pownce that lately the input focus has been jumping away from the comment box. It also happens--but less so--if I'm entering text in other sites.
What I've just noticed is that the URL http://socialthing.com pops up in the status bar at the bottom of my browser for a brief second when this happens. Apparently, when my activity is being "scanned" to determine whether it should be relayed, the text input is interrupted. It's kind of a pain, because sometimes I'll have typed several additional words before I realize what has happened. I have to re-click on the comment box to restore focus there. Frustrating! So be advised.

Why can't I post international characters in Pownce comments.I've been having problems posting comments via the browser version of Pownce. During a long thread of postings from multiple users (the FNPDC on 3/14) I attempted to submit comments with international characters. Those comments with non-standard characters wouldn't post, but others went through without problem. I tried cutting and pasting special characters from comments posted by international users, but those wouldn't post either. So I'm wondering if there's something with the encoding settings of my browser (I've tried Firefox and Opera with the same results.) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
