Birdies are telling me Comcast will drop analog or free digital support (read_ without require a box) for all but the very basic tier next February. There is no technical reason other than to push more crap at customers. Clearly, Comcast is on a crusade to make me read more because I will disconnect my cable service before I accept any sort of 'box' other than a cablecard I can plug into my Tivo
