The creation mask option fixed it. Thanks! It looks like my program must be writing a new file, instead of updating the existing file, causing the permissions to be lost.

Is this something you are working on?
The problem I am having with it is that when I save files with the execute bit (x) using editors via sftpdrive they lose the (x). For example I open a file with 755 permissions, and then save it it ends up with 644 permissions. This means I have to browse ever file and do a chmod back on these files. A real annoyance for an otherwise excellent program.
BTW, I am a paying customer.
