Mike Ihlenfeldt replied on November 04, 2009 07:46 to the question "From 32-bit to 64-bit, installer won't open from desktop." in Microsoft Corporation:
Hi Jean-Karlo,
I assume they sent a .ISO file correct? Those types of files are a snapshot of the DVD-ROM and meant to be burned to a DVD before you can use them to install Windows. There are many ISO burning utilities availble on the internet for free.
Another item to note, upgrading from 32-bit Windows to 64-bit is not supported. What you will need to do is run the installer and preform a clean install. When you do this install, your documents will need to be backed up as they will not be saved. More information and instructions can be found at this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...

Mike Ihlenfeldt replied on November 04, 2009 07:14 to the question "Cant load some websites!" in Microsoft Corporation:
Hi Mike,
Please do try clearing you cache. Also if you have Window Defender, please run it or another Spyware / Anti-Virus Scanner as sometimes malware can interfere with pages loading.
For information on how to clear your cache, please visit: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260897 (It says IE 6 on Windows XP, but it will work for IE 7/8 on a newer OS)
For information on how to obtain Windows Defender, please visit:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/prod...
Alternatively you can install Microsoft Security Essentials which includes a Spyware and Virus Scanner, for free at:
http://www.microsoft.com/security_ess...
I hope this helps.
