I just started having this problem tonight. I really enjoy the hidden file menu, it's one less thing taking up real estate on my screen... Here's a working fix until the folks at BumpTop release an update to the issue (be careful!):

Start > Run > regedit
Locate: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\ShellBrowser

Once there, in the right pane you'll see ITBar7Layout. Right click on it and delete it. Now open a new explorer window and you should see that it is gone.

Your fix didn't work but I found other registry fix and that worked.. Thanks anyway :)

Bumtop is installed.
The BumpTop Menu bar is diabled.
No matter what the menu bar won't go away. See the picture.

Oh sorry-- I didn't notice the "after uninstall" in title. I meant it while the software was still installed - couldn't hide the menu bar.

I couldn't reproduce this error on Vista Home Premium - works fine. It Restores it's state, it says. Vista Home Basic might be having some comaptibilty issues - not a good edition of Vista I think.

Hold left-clik on filename to rename - it should include ALL the windows desktop functionality and more (ofcourse), to be more useful than conventional desktop. This far there are too many annoyances for me to use this since it just takes more time to get things done with this, but I know you guys are on the right track, looks like the non-beta release is goint to be completely awesome.

..Even though it still has annoyances and one major bug which keeps me away from buying it, but if those were fixed I would be happy to pay the fee.

It is really ugly and annoying to see that an icon flies in your face when something is being started.

When Right mouse button is pressed on a file, the SHRINK/GROW/OTHER menu appears which makes me feel like the most important feature in this software was shrinking and growing fancy icons, while actually the context menu needs to be accessed to rename the file, make a RAR archive or something else important. The shrink/grow feature should be accesed by using some sort of "middle-mouse click'n'rool" or "hold Ctrl and roll or hit arrows" or something, and the "other" menu should open right by clicking the right mouse, because it's the most important menu there! This decreases the usability of this software greatly.

Surpress Recycle Bin confirmation

When something is dragged to the Recycle Bin, it shoul'nt ask for a confirmation, becuase this makes the use of a fancy 3D Recycle Bin almost pointless - it takes 2 movements of mouse to delete a file with confirmation, but it would take only one without it. Yes, the drag might have been unintentional, but that's what restoring is for.
Also RocketDock does this - it's very convenient.
