    Delete forwarded entries?
Can I have Dial2Do delete any Toodledo activities I call in, after it forwards them to Toodledo?

    recover items?
Is there any way to retrieve the ITEMS I called in that were associated with a "Custom command" that I just deleted?

I didn't want to continue to use the command, as it was truncating my entries (on Toodledo) -- so I deleted it. Didn't realize that all the items would be deleted with it. Are they recoverable? Unfortunately, this happened back in July -- I thought I emailed this question in, but never got a response (maybe I forgot -- that's why I use Toodledo!).

    Toodledo emails and task notes
This is interesting -- I want to use Dial2Do to send tasks to my Toodledo task list but, because I'm not a big fan of handing out logins/passwords to sites to other sites, I'm using EMAIL instead of the "direct connection" that exists to send from Dial2Do to Toodledo...

Works fine. But -- if I use Dial2Do's built in email command with my Toodledo email address, the transcription is added to the "notes" of my Toodledo task.

If I use the command that I created (which uses the "record and email" method and send to the very same email address), nothing goes into the notes of my Toodledo task.

What's the different between "email" and "record and email", on Dial2Do?

    Thanks!

    Faster entries?
I'm one of those old fogeys who doesn't like paying big bucks for my cellphone, so I have a very limited minute monthly plan. In an effort to save as many of those minutes as possible, I'd like to be able to speed up the time it takes to call one of my reminders (or my new command, emailing a task to Toodledo).

Once I've finished saying my task, there's a pause while Dial2Do ensures that I'm done speaking, and then the 5 repeated tones before it accepts this.

Is there any way I can say "DONE", or something to let Dial2Do know that I'm done talking? And can those 5 tones go any faster?

    Thanks for a great service!

Forgotten password; no more notes on items
The email address associated with my reqall account is a TOODLEDO email (used to send my reqall submissions directly to my TO DO list on Toodledo.com).

I wanted to check my reqall account settings, today, because I'm no longer getting NOTES associated with my reqall additions.

I cannot log into my reqall account, because I can't remember my password.

I ask to have my password emailed and, because I'm not getting notes, it doesn't show up in Toodledo!

    Please help...

Default field entered on new transaction
Entering transactions in an investment account; finish one transaction and, when the system moves to the next new transaction, it drops the cursor in the Transfer field, instead of in the DATE field, which is where I have to start entering data. Is this a bug or a feature?

Future Reminders - how to enter transactions?
How do I enter a future transaction from a reminder? I've entered a reminder for an event to occur on 3/1. I've already paid the bill, so I want to use the reminder to enter the transaction. But, on my homepage reminders list, 3/1 is too far off; and, I guess, you can't enter a transaction from a reminder when you go into Tools > Reminders?

    reconciliation with keyboard
For us keyboard users: It'd really be nice if I could reconcile without the mouse -- if I could scroll through the list of transactions using my arrow key, and have them NOT get marked or unmarked until I, say, hit the spacebar. Right now, just MOVING through the transactions toggles the "cleared" marker. No way to reconcile without using a mouse.

    Unless I'm missing something?

Keyboard shortcuts -- PLEASE update help!
I'm trying desperately to make the switch from Quicken to Moneydance, and I am a die-hard keyboard-shortcuts advocate.

It's very frustrating to know that a shortcut exists, but not be able to find any reference to it in the app help or any google searches.

I know there's a shortcut for "delete all splits," but I can't remember what it is. Can Moneydance PLEASE publish a comprehensive list of all shortcuts in 2008r3 (631)?

DISREGARD! I realized VI is just a text editor, and followed your instruction -- and it's working. Thanks so much.

I'm a linux newbie having this (and other) problems with MD, too. Please explain the process for setting that java HOME variable using VI (and what IS VI?)

No difference, I'm afraid. And, though I'd not entered my password in way longer than 5 minutes, no prompt for a password.

In my previous attempt, I actually started with a SU command, where I DID put in my password, and then did the SH command within that. Either way - no luck. I think it's a Java problem, but I'm not sure how to get around it!

    So you're saying that Java5 isn't enough? That I need Java6?

Here's the result of "java -version:"
    java version "1.5.0_10"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_10-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_10-b03, mixed mode)

If I run "sh moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh", I still get the xlib.lock error.

    thanks

Add me to the list of people with install under linux problems:

I've been running MD on XP Pro for months, and love it. I've bought myself an eee PC (with Linux) though I know nothing about Linux. I downloaded both the tar and sh versions of MD for Linux, but cannot get it successfully installed.

When I run the SH, here's what I do and what I get:
    1) Open terminal
    2) Type SUDO and log on
    3) Type SH moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh
    4) It starts the install, but I eventually get "... Assertion c->xlib.lock failed. moneydance_linux_x86wj.sh: line 326: 5483 Aborted.

    My java version is 1.5.0_10.

What am I missing (and, remember, I know Windows and DOS, but NOT Linux!)?

    thanks

New posts now emailed with attachment
I signed up with reQall yesterday in an effort to have my "to do" list received and transcribed and then emailed to my Toodledo.com "to do" list. Yesterday, this seemed to work. Today, my "received audio posts" are coming in to Toodledo with a voice attachment (no attachment yesterday; just the transcribed message). Has something changed, or am I doing something wrong?
