A comment on the problem "Unread count is updated, feed's content isn't" in Google Reader:
need to say, these issues are almost gone last time. I see them much much less often than before. Refresh button does not help - feed stays empty for few minutes but later (in a minute or so) items arises after just clicking on feed name in left pane, even without refresh.
I cannot reproduce my second issue anymore

the only thing I can add here is it's commercial tool. But the fact it's broken too makes the issue a bit clealer – mkuzmin, on July 30, 2009 06:56

Make Funambol SyncML client workAs there is no special Google Sync product here, I'll post that into Gmail section.
There were multiple threads in support forums, here is mine with all technical details
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p...
The problem is: Gmail has SyncML server. Funambol is the only free tool on the market. It works absolutely fine with all other SyncML services I used, but is not compatible with Google's instance. On all platforms - Outlook, Windows Mobile, Blackberry.
ActiveSync is not an option - there may be just one connection, and it points already to corporate Exchange server. What I need is to additionally sync my contacts to private mailbox.
It may be an issue at Google side - there are special 404-filters to drop browsers from these URLs. Or may be a bug within Funambol code itself. But Funambol community is silent too. I just suspect they are not interesting in fixing that - Gmail competes here with their myFUNAMBOL service.

Unread count is updated, feed's content isn'tThere is a lag between updating of unread items count in left feed tree and actual list of items in right pane. usually it doesn't take longer than a minute but there are two issues:
1) it's annoying a bit. especially for blogoholic who cannot wait for this minute when knows THERE ARE new posts :)
2) may be it's a separate issue technically, but a related one. I look into particular feed and keep it opened for some time. Unread items count is updated at left, list of displayed items isn't. I click "mark all as read" button - and everything gone, even items that were NEVER displayed.

Keyboard navigation - Space doesn't switch no a next feedif I click "mark all as read" button and then press Space key, reader does not switch to next feed.
Usually I read posts feed by feed. In news feeds there are a lot of boring items, so I just observe headers and want to go to next one.
Ideally I need one common keyboard shortcut for both marking all posts in a current feed and switching to a next one.-
