Landscape mode for iPhone

I will often times instinctively rotate my iPhone to change layout or to help with typing. This is especially true when browsing the web. I think that a landscape option would be very useful.

Display problems with some tweets.

Sometimes spaces in tweets are randomly removed in spots. It doesn't seem to happen all of the time.

Also some tweets are cut off. Often it's links at the end of the tweet that this happens to. It seems that they may be dropped down to the next line due to length but aren't given the vertical space needed to appear.

I certainly understand what you are saying, and I agree with keeping the app simple. Personally though, I believe that merging is a fundamental (read basic) feature of any sync platform or application and, as such, should be available anywhere and everywhere the platform/application is available.

As an avid iPod Touch user I would love the ability to completely manage my contacts from my mobile devices. Ideally allowing the creation, editting, deletion, and merger of contacts. As a mid step even just the ability to merge from the app would be an incredable plus.

The Facebook point is only to demonstrate how long it can take to internationalize and localize. I can certainly appreciate that, and am glad to see that you have started down that long road.

But that design exactly is the problem, no page should override basic browser functionality. Especially without explanation or warning in the UI. People expect the browser controls to work regardless and not allowing them to do so provides a counter-intuitive experience for users. – MMcCubbing, on October 16, 2009 12:18

Why is this marked not a problem? I haven't checked if it is still an issue or not, seeing as I can't get on the site on my iPod Touch (that is being dealt with in another thread), but breaking browser functionality and expected flow certainly is an issue. Has this been fixed?

I have, a couple times, been redirected back to the full version.

Also scrolling doesn't seem to work, on either version of the site.

Oh, and I can't sign on at the moment, although I could 5 minutes ago, and it isn't my internet connection. It "thinks" for a few seconds, then it stops.

I really hope this get working though, or an app for it.
