Bricoleur's idea is a great one but the problem doesn't hinder functionality of the program. So this feature, though easy to program, would only be near the top of my to-do list because of its ease of programing.
You bring up another point that is quite important and that is 'deliverables'. When a company delivers new features often it gives the customer the since that the company cares and is constantly attempting to meet customer needs. So, delivering small new software features often is much better than one big release once a year or longer. Deliver a new feature at the same time a bug is fixed for example (but don't hold the bug fix). From a user perspective learning one new feature is almost seemless and costs very little time.
I think reQall is on the right track just give us small incremental improvements often so we know you are out there. Saying you listen but doing nothing presents a duel meaning.
Piotr's idea of publishing a list of improvements in summary form and publishing the votes for each along with reQall's decision of what feature will be added and when would be an outstanding and simple thing to do.
Example:
Feature Request Votes reQall Priority to Develop
Known bug #1 n/a #1
Strip Keywords 62 #2
Feature X 59 #3
