Alright. We're are going to switch off all cheap ads. We were able to reproduce this with one specific ad. Most of the ads seem to work fine. Our assumption is, that specific advertisers cheat the advertisement network. If more problems turn up, please post the name of the product or company. However if the problem persists we will have to find another advertisement network. Grmbl. We're really sorry for the annoyance. I'll get back to you tomorrow (it's already 10:30 pm).

Sound ads should be switched off by now. They are displayed as filtered within the back-end of our ads partner. However I am not sure if I understand why the Pogo ad opens a pop up. It is not marked as such within the back-end. Need to investigate.

The filter should take effect quite soon. Problem is, I can't double check it, because so far I only got nice little ads for Tchibo and TUI...

@Joe12 If it does not switch you over to the new installer automatically, which it should, you can simply delete Wuala and reinstall via the web start. Make sure to delete all folders, but in case you are sharing disc space you need to be extra careful what you delete.

As mentioned in the other thread, I have set the auto filter for all these strange and undesirable effects. According to our advertisement partner, the filter takes approximately one hour to be activated. Be assured, we hate pop-ups and sound advertisements as much as you do.

I'm really sorry for the short annoyance.

I just switched off all auto expandable, user expandable, DHTML, sound etc etc. advertisements. It takes approximately an hour until the system (of our advertisement partner) uses the new settings.
Sorry for this. We were not aware that they actually serve ads with sound. We hate them as much as you do.

Habe gerade festgestellt, dass der "löschen" Eintrag im Menü kaputt ist. Das wird mit dem nächsten Update gefixt. Weiterhin kann man aber mit dem Tastaturbefehl löschen. Auf Mac ist das Apfeltaste-Löschen.

Thanks for stress testing the Network Drive :) You are right, we still have work to do here. As a quick fix, if you are doing drag and drop anyway, you can drag and drop files into Wuala. That way you can avoid any bigger problems. (While Wuala is encrypting your files, your computer will be slow as encryption takes a lot of horse power.)

I am currently at home and here I don't have a machine without Wuala. I tried the password protected folder and it worked. But as I said, I have Wuala installed. (However Wuala does not come to the front when trying to open a password protected folder, which gives the impression of it not working.) Do you still encounter this problem?

We are aware of this problem. The network drive has problems with all kinds of unicode signs (be it ü é ø, or Greek, Russian or Chinese). However this problem is very complicated and I can't even promise you that it would be solved too soon.

You can actually install directly from web start.
Start via the red button on website. Click on my files. Enter you log in and select the "install on this computer" checkbox below (don't know the precise wording, as I use the German version myself). Click on OK. That's it.
