Regarding reverse order uploading: I would not want them automatically sorted by anything except on request. I upload from ExpressionMedia, and within that application I have my photos sorted in an order which is neither file name nor date. I want them to end up on Flickr in the current sort order in ExpressionMedia. The PictureSync dialog does list them in that order, which is great, but when the end up on Flickr the order is reversed.

    1. I agree 10.5+ is good enough.

    2. Flickr has a file size limit in MB, not a resolution limit, so figuring out how to resize to meet the file size constraint without unnecessarily sacrificing resolution sounds hard. I rather it be automatic, since I don't want to have to remember the max size my provider supports, but I suppose if it's a setting I just have to make once per provider, that's OK (but it has to be in MB, not pixels). Also making the file smaller, in MB, can be done by either reducing the JPEG quality or the resolution. Which to choose might need to be a user option.

BTW, another request: I'd really like support for Panoramio.

PictureSync has been my favorite uploading application for some time. I use version 1.8 on my Mac only for Flickr, and mostly for uploading from Microsoft Expression Media. Here are some thoughts for improvements:

    1. I would like to see the name of the Flickr set that I'm about to upload to in the main window, with an option just to type in a new set name right there.

    2. The drop-down list of sets in the "upload to" dialog for Flicker gets unmanageably long if you have lots of sets. Typically these sets are organized into collections, so it would be better if this dropdown list was hierarchical by collection.

    3. When tell it to create a new set, I want to be able to specify the collection that set goes into, so I don't have to go into Flickr and manually move the set there. It would be nice to be able to create the collection from PictureSync, too.

    4. It would be nice if it gave me reasonable messages rather than mysterious Applescript errors on giving it files with bad formats and other errors.

    5. Failures to download (e.g., because the file was too big) give me no reason for the failure. If Flickr won't provide a reason, some of these rules could be coded into PictureSync (especially file size limits). Automatic resizing to the maximum allowed size would be really nice.

    6. I would like to be able to resize the PictureSync window, and have it remember my size on subsequent invocations.

    7. Better synchronization (your item #1) would be nice, but I'm suspicious it can be done well enough to be of use (it's a hard problem). I don't really need fully automatic synchronization, but it would be nice if I could, on request, upload photos I have edited with newer versions, without changing their names, descriptions, etc. on Flickr.

    8. When my default is set to "upload to", the upload button's name should change to "upload to".
