Ok, I figured it out. There's an add-on called Morning Peeps that I had installed that caused all the problems.
The add-on by itself doesn't work in 7, but when I had that and Pure Player enabled, it causes the minimize issue.
Disabling MorningPeeps fixed the issue. MorningPeeps only conflicts with Pure Player.

I've seen one other person on here with this bug, but their report wasn't well explained. – Mortos, on June 10, 2009 23:04
A comment on the problem "Songbird window wont render in Windows 7 after minimizing." in Songbird:
For the first part, yes it is a bug. The problem you linked is not related to the problem I'm having.
Secondly, the feather you linked is for version 1.1.0, and made it so that I could not change the size of the window at all.
I've discovered that the bug I'm experiencing only happens if the window is maximized, and it has nothing to do with add-ons.
For those of you trying to replicate this bug, first start up Songbird, then maximize the window, then minimize it. Go to the task bar, navigate to the window, and try to open it. It should now display a blank preview and the window will no longer show up. – Mortos, on June 10, 2009 10:07
Mortos reported a problem in Songbird on June 10, 2009 08:45:
Songbird window wont render in Windows 7 after minimizing.OS: Windows 7 64-bit (Build 7100)
Songbird Version: 1.1.2
Trying to bring the main Songbird window to the front through Aero Peek, whether it's minimized or not, causes the window to no longer render. Previewing the window works normally before clicking (See Picture 1), but after clicking the window no longer renders and the preview is a blank window (See Picture 2).
Have tried disabling all add-ons.
To users having this problem: Installing Pure Player is a quick fix for you to still control the audio playback.
