Just wanted to give a heads-up on this.
We did still see this intermittantly over the past week or so, but more rarely than before.
We just pushed a release within the last 30 minutes that looks to have stopped even the intermittant logouts. Please let us know if this happens to you again!
Thanks so much for your patience on this one.
mpd replied on September 02, 2009 20:32 to the question "change guest list options" in Crusher:
Hi Tara,
When you're viewing your event's page, there should be a link that says 'Start inviting!'
Click that, and the box that comes up will have a dropdown labeled 'Guest List Display', (it's near the bottom of the box that opens up) which you can change to whichever setting your prefer. (I'm hoping I understood your question correctly.)
Please let us know if we can help you further, and thanks so much for using Crusher!

still working on this one :( this problem only happens in the production environment (i.e. it never happens to us in our local testing setups), and we can't make it pop consistently.
If there is a specific action or flow you take that *always* logs you out, please let us know. We do go through the flows you mention and the problem never happens (although that's not to say it doesn't happen to you... it's just terribly inconsistent :( ) We can definitely confirm this problem, however.
Once we figure out exactly what is causing this, we should be able to squash it pretty quickly, but this is a very difficult bug, unfortunately.

Hello again,
I've been working on this issue all day, and it seems to be related to caching (we were able to repeat it here, but reloads would sometimes show you as still logged-in, etc.)
We just pushed a change that we believe solves this problem (this issue only ever happens on production, which was just brutal for debugging :p )
PLEASE let us know if this problem persists for you.
Thanks so much for using Crusher!

mpd marked one of Nelz's replies in Crusher as useful. Nelz replied to the problem "Logged out on Create Invite page".
mpd replied on August 10, 2009 19:51 to the problem "Logged out on Create Invite page" in Crusher:
Hi Nelz,
We went and linked up your new page with your user account, so you should be good to go now.
We did a deploy, and it looks like you got caught in the middle of it. (a deploy will log you out, which is what we believe happened here.)
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and if there are further problems with your page, please let us know and we will look into it ASAP.
Thanks so much for using Crusher!
mpd replied on July 24, 2009 18:41 to the problem "Wrong login email address on file; can not verify" in Crusher:
hi Karla.
I've gone and changed your email address in the database to hedwigcc7@aol.com, so you should be able to get a verification message at that address now.
Please let us know if you have further problems.
Thanks so much for using Crusher!
mpd replied on July 13, 2009 19:51 to the problem "RSVP's aren't registering?" in Crusher:
Hm, we're going to have to investigate this. You are the first to bring this up to us, but were not able to repeat it with some quick tests here, which means we will need to look deeper.
Do you have any information about the browsers that the people having this problem were using? Fully understandable if you don't :p
They also might want to try clearing their cookies (at least those for crush3r.com) if this happens.
mpd replied on July 13, 2009 19:39 to the problem "RSVP's aren't registering?" in Crusher:
Hi David,
Are they trying to RSVP through a link in an email that was sent out?
We recently removed this direct RSVP-from-email feature (was causing a lot of problems when interacting with other features of the site), so it sounds like they are clicking links in emails sent prior to that change.
If they go directly to the invite page, they should be able to RSVP as normal. You can get there by clicking the title of the event in the email.
Future invite mails will not have the direct RSVP links in them.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but thanks so much for using Crusher!
mpd replied on July 06, 2009 21:45 to the problem "can't edit anything" in Crusher:
Hi Bethany,
We noticed you're using Firefox version 2, which is over a year old now and contains many bugs. Two newer versions have been released since that time. Please try upgrading your version of Firefox (http://getfirefox.com) or try another browser, such as Safari or Google Chrome.
Please let us know if you continue to have problems, and we apologize for your inconvenience.
Thank you for using Crusher!
mpd replied on July 01, 2009 19:28 to the problem "Keep getting the following: OOOPS! Something unintended happened. Click the back button and try again. Please report this error to us immediately and 500 Internal Server Errors" in Crusher:
Hi Carl,
Is this still happening to you?
We pushed an update suggested by our hosting company a few minutes ago that did not work out so well, and we have already rolled back.
Please let us know if this is still happening to you and we will look into it.
We totally apologize for the inconvenience, but thank you for using Crusher!
mpd replied on June 02, 2009 21:36 to the problem "Name Displays Incorrectly on Invite / Image Won't Upload" in Crusher:
Hi,
It looks like there was a problem with the image upload. It's showing up for us as a 0x0 image, 7 bytes total in size.
Please try to re-upload your image. If it still gives you the same problem, please post again here and we will check it out. At that point, we would need the image you're trying to upload so we could see why it's choking.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but thank you for using Crusher!
mpd replied on May 29, 2009 17:17 to the problem "JavaScript error on comment posting" in Crusher:
What error did you get? Did it show up in an alert or another way?
This is a big glob of javascript, but no actual error is showing there...
What browser were you using, and what version?
What operating system were you using?
just want to nip these problems as soon as they happen.
thanks for using Crusher!
