Is there a way to post to Plazes via email? Is there a way to post to Plazes via email? I don't at present see any sign that this feature exists.

Twitter command always thinks "as" == (as twitter username)At some point Ubiquity's Twitter command was updated to allow a modifier (as twitter username).
I've noticed recently (using 0.1.6), every usage of the word "as" triggers this modifier code. Even if I hit the down-arrow there is never an interpretation that treats an occurrence of "as" correctly (i.e., not as a modifier but as a word).
Am I missing something?
A comment on the problem "twhirl 0.8.7-linux now broken due to Adobe Air 1.5 linux self upgrade" in Seesmic:
Syphon, thanks for that. Your instructions pretty much follow what I've found to be successful -- viz., a complete reinstall of Air and Twhirl. The key step that I had been missing before was step 6 to remove the ./appdata folder from the home folder, which will clean out preferences/passwords from any previous installs. In fact the next time that Twhirl gives me problems I might try this step first. – mr. adams, on December 22, 2008 02:07
mr. adams marked one of Syphon's replies in Seesmic as useful. Syphon replied to the problem "twhirl 0.8.7-linux now broken due to Adobe Air 1.5 linux self upgrade". mr. adams and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.

How can we ensure that we have completely removed Twhirl? Even if I remove the package and also rm -rf /opt/twhirl, and then reinstall, Twhirl still remembers my settings, so I'm obviously not deleting everything.
The behavior I'm seeing now is that Twhirl starts up, but doesn't remember my password for Twitter. Also, no accounts appear in the settings dialog until I re-add my identica account, at which point my twitter account also appears on the list. Likewise the settings for my identica profile are not being saved.

Adobe's old instructions for removing air should still be valid. – mr. adams, on December 18, 2008 09:31

I was able to get twhirl 0.8.7 and Adobe Air Linux 1.5 playing together by removing all old packages and reinstalling the new ones. (on Ubuntu 8.10).
My problem is that I can no longer sign into identi.ca although that other service is working for me.

I was able to get twhirl 0.8.7 working with Adobe Air for Linu 1.5 by first removing both packages and then reinstalling from scratch. Adobe has some instructions for that.
My problem is that I can no longer sign into Identica although that other service works fine.

SMS Plazing me incorrectlyAction: I update my Plaze via SMS to a new location, such as "@ 798 Art District in Beijing"
Expected Result: Pattern matching recognizes "in Beijing," but does not turn up search results for "798 Art District," and so creates a new Plaze: "You have been plazed at 798 Art District (Beijing, CN)"
Actual Result: Pattern matching recognizes "in Beijing," but Plazes me at some location entirely unrelated to my input. In this case, "You have been plazed at AT Cafe (Beijing, CN)"
Analysis: I know Plazes must use some fuzzy logic, but I'm quire consternated that the location I input bears no resemblance to the search results.
Recommendation: I believe that Plazes updated via SMS should *err* on the side of creating a new place, rather than placing me at a completely unrelated location, especially since I bridge my Plazes location to a lot of other social services. Meaning, when in doubt, Plazes should report my location verbatim.
Question: Can I force verbatim location update using quotation marks? Is there some other foolproof syntax I can use?
P.S. I find this behavior much more common when traveling in Asian cities that are not as well covered by Plazes (Beijing, Hong Kong), rather than European cities...
