Toby Miller replied on September 24, 2008 05:17 to the question "Why is the default time zone for events in Samoa (GMT-11) when I've confirmed New York time in my account settings?" in Spongecell:
Hi guys,
Thought I'd check in on this1 month later since events imported from iCal are still being refigured to appear 4 hours later than they should be. As before I've ensured both the default time zone on both the iCal file (derived from Google calendar) and in Promote are the same, in this case GMT -5:00 (New York). As before, I imported the same iCal into Microsoft Outlook and confirmed that the information in the iCal is correct and it did indeed import correctly in iCal.
Hope this can get worked out -- Samoa is not popping up as the default zone as before, but times are still being set incorrectly in Promote. Thanks.

Mr. Sponge replied on August 12, 2008 21:47 to the question "Why are only 150 out of 2000 contacts reading my emails?" in Spongecell:
It helps to include text like "add us to your safelist," however, if the email is already going to the Spam folder, this may not help much. Unfortunately, there is no way to "force" us to be on the non-spam list.
There are many good practices to follow that will help in the deliverability of your messages. Some include:
+ Use a good, descriptive title
+ Don't use a lot of images
As for the # of user who have "read" your email - this means, not only the user opened the email, but they are displaying images. So, one additional tip is for you to add some text like "make sure you enable 'view images' in this email," something like that. It could very well be that 1200 ppl opened the email, but only 500 have the display images below, thus skewing the number.

Further clarification -- code functions fine in compose mode -- once saved, only sporadic retention of correct code, more frequently truncation of code.
A much smaller widget I've also used: <iframe src="http://tckmiller.webasyst.net/WG/show.php?q=VEcxMTMz-a0112c69" height="140" width="225"></iframe>
Thanks again for all your help!

Thanks for all your help. Here's an example of a Paypal button I embedded (I'll note here that I tried on three different browsers and found an interesting development: it's not that it doesn't work but that it's intermittent. I sat and just pushed refresh over and over for the two events I embedded the button and watched as sometimes the button appeared and other times it just displayed a chunk of code. Functional but *very* sticky). There's another widget I've tried before that used to flunk, but now seems to be working better. All in all, a learning curve, for sure:

It is odd that this is limited to gmail contacts only. We will investigate our deliverability with them, however, traditionally it has been very good. One tip is for your contacts to add invite@spongecell.com to safe senders list.
