I have the same problems. I'm on Leopard 10.5.8 and running DL 2.3.2.
* The animations for adding items does not appear in the correct spot and do not go away.
* Doesn't show where the new item has been placed.
* Publish menu will not appear.
* At times when I switch to a new shelf view, the view will not change. I still see the previous shelf I was looking at even though the new one is highlighted in the right side. If I click around randomly, I can select items in the new shelf and the details sidebar shows the selected item.
This all happened after the last round of updates. Not sure which one caused it. Is it OK if I downgrade back to 2.2? Right now, things are unusable.-

High-res photos in the APIWill the new high-res photos link be added to the API too? Specifically in the XML of the api/read results.

Twitter: display like on Tumblr -- threaded replies and Twitpic thumbsWhen you create a Tumblr account, you have the option to read your Twitter feeds in the Tumblr dashboard. There, tweet replies are threaded for everybody so you know what they are replying to. It's great! now I know what people are talking about.
Tumblr also includes Twitpic thumbs in tweets with an image.
I haven't seen any apps that thread tweet replies like that and would love to have that a feature in EventBox. The Twitpic thumb would be nice too. I think that has been requested before.

Microsoft does not offer a public API for Xbox Live, but I think you can join the developers network to get access to one. Here's a public one from a 3rd party (obviously not for use with your app) to show it can be done.

I wish it were public, but Microsoft is so hung up with their passport log-in system it may never be public. :-(-

XML feed for published shelves?I know creating custom publish templates would be time consuming and difficult, but what if every shelf had an XML (RSS or Atom) feed of it's contents with a link to item images, titles and descriptions? Then we could use the assets that publish out of DL in other places on our sites.
There are a ton of applications that use XML feeds. It would be a quick way to use your published DL information in unique ways.
An example would be a "currently reading" shelf that would have a feed that could be placed on your blog complete with cover art and an Amazon link. Every time you update the shelf and publish, your blog gets updated too.
Just an idea. I know I'd love to have it.
MrBlank replied on September 04, 2008 04:04 to the problem "FTP publish broken with 2.0.3 update" in Delicious Monster:
The regular FTP seems to do the trick. Thanks! You are right. It's tons faster. :-)
I prefer SFTP, so I want to keep messing with things and see if I can get it going.
It seems like I always have to select the FTP site and retype the password every time I publish. It doesn't seem to remember the last one I used and the password always has an extra character (dot) in it. That might be why I keep having trouble.
Is there a file somewhere that I can delete or edit that will remove all the FTP sites in the list so I can start fresh? The ones "created in another application" (I don't know where) won't let me delete them.
Thanks for all the help!
MrBlank replied on September 03, 2008 05:06 to the problem "FTP publish broken with 2.0.3 update" in Delicious Monster:
I'm trying to get it to publish to a subdomain of joshnichols.com, so dl.joshnichols.com is the "HTML" directory.
I don't think DL understands that my host name and my viewing URL are different and it keeps adding a /deliciouslibrary//deliciouslibrary/ to the viewing url. I'm not putting /deliciouslibrary in any of the paths. DL is adding them and adding it twice on the viewing URL.
Here is the error I should have posted above (I got mixed up trying different ways around this) Notice the FTP site address.

Does "Connection refused" mean my user name or password are wrong? Or does it mean the server path does not exist?
The host name is correct. Once logged in via FTP there is a directory "dl.joshnichols.com" (the HTML directory that is viewable on the Web). I don't add the /deliciouslibrary/ directory. DL does that. My viewing URL is http://dl.joshnichols.com/. DL, for some reason always adds "/deliciouslibrary//deliciouslibrary/" to the end.
I don't see what the problem is. All the same info I'm putting into DL works in my FTP program (YummyFTP).
Like I said, it worked fine before the update. I'm pretty sure the update did something or does something different than before.
Thanks for the help!

FTP publish broken with 2.0.3 updateWhen I try to publish via FTP I get an error:
It appears that no matter what I do in the configuration, DL always adds an extra /deliciouslibrary to the path:
Here's the error I get when I try to publish:
This started immediately after the 2.0.3 update.
I'm not sure what to do to fix this. In the meantime, I'm going to manually upload things. Everything worked fine before the update.
Thanks!
