A comment on the idea "Unable to edit text in a Text Widget work around... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip..." in Yola:
LittleYou ;) as I said I read the threads but could not wait for the fix... I wanted to share the work around with everyone so that it took some pressure off the techies.
But if you don't want me to use my monster brain for good will of mankind and my fellow site builder I will stop immediately all Honey Bear Playhomes Tips from this point on.
Callin me a honey addict are ya... Grrrrr LOL – Ed-a-Torials @ Honey Bear Playhomes, on August 12, 2009 17:00

Unable to edit text in a Text Widget work around... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip...So I signed up for a new account to see this new sidebar in action and at my first through 50th attempt to edit text in a text widget I became disheartened at being able to type but not change the color, size or font regardless what I tried... I read the threads related and found no solace or fix.
So here is yet another unique work around from the old bear ;)
1) Highlight the following code
<div style="text-align: left;"><font style="font-family: Verdana;" size="4"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"><br></span></font><font size="4"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-family: Verdana;">Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Praesent
dignissim posuere ligula, vitae varius mauris tristique ac. Aliquam
gravida erat ac arcu volutpat sodales. Donec fermentum ante eget sapien
ullamcorper sit amet adipiscing tellus hendrerit. Donec eu velit non
ante faucibus ullamcorper vehicula non nunc.
</span></font><a href="Pricing.php"><br><font style="font-family: Arial;" size="4"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"></span></font></a></div><font style="font-family: Arial;" size="4"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"><br></span></font>
2) Open your site builder
3) Drag a new Text Widget onto your page
4) Click once in the text widget
5) Click the "HTML" button in the top toolbar
6) Highlight all the code contained within and delete it
7) Paste the code copied from above into the Text Widget
8) Click "OK"
You should now be able to change the color, size and font without fail...
Happy site building

OK Denise
I see firstly that you do not have the placeholder image uploaded to your file manager (see http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicin... to save the little white image)
Secondly your two middle images don't seem to have been uploaded or the incorrect URL's are listed.

I am sure that you will get it sorted out soon...

Sometimes certain codes contain within them several instances of <! -- and ->and that mere fact can make pasting it into the forums a challenge as the code is not complete once viewed. To get around this I recommend pasting it into a text widget on a new page of your website and posting the URL here for us to look at...

A Pretty awesome FREE online banner maker for the novice to expert in all of you... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip...There are so many cool features in this banner maker that you can get lost for days in all its awesome possibilities. I simply recommend that you give it a workout and learn the ins and outs yourself. I think that is the best and most educational way to become a pro at it.
Use their provided backgrounds or upload an image of your own, Use literally hundreds of fonts that will drive you giddy with possibilities, add up to 6 lines of text with so many options and you get to select your output format in (PNG, JPEG or GIF) There is a very small (BF) in the lower right corner if you use your own image for a background but it is barely noticeable and if need be can be cropped out as it does not state that it must be on your image to use it.

All in all a really great free banner generator/maker. Additionally, you can specify banner dimensions or crop the produced banner image to fit your banner for your website if you place the text properly...

Another freakin awesome FREE online logo and text generator... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip...This one is by far going to become one of my favorites and I simply had to pass it along to let it become yours as well...
With it you can create a custom and most professional transparent PNG logo and text for your website. Over a dozen really cool web 2.0 fonts, make the font outline color any you like, make the text a single color or add a gradient to it and my fav the glossy effect, save it as a PNG with or without a background and oh did I say this was easy as they come for a logo maker? Cause it is by far one of the best I have seen.
Oh and for those of you in Japan and China you can make a logo in your language as well. How cool is that? Pretty cool I would say...

An easy and free one line banner generator great for the novice user... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip...I surely does not have all the bells and whistles of many of the other online banner generators out there but this one is probably one of the easiest for the beginner user to use.
14 different color and image backgrounds for creating a 468px x 60px banner with 6 fonts and numerous font color choices.
Enter your text, choose your font, color and size, pick a background then click the "Create Banner" button. Right click on your banner then save to your computer.

As I said it is quite basic but as easy as they come to help the new and learning users create a banner to place on their website.

Add a professional looking Email icon to your website... A Honey Bear Playhomes Tip...We all know how unsafe it is to have your email address on your website as bots scan the web all the time looking for emails to spam.
Use this free online Email icon generator to make an image containing your email and have it customized to your email provider so you can upload it to your website. (Don't link it to your email as the image should be adequate) All you have to do is type in your email address and select from their list of popular email providers, click "Generate" and save your image... It's that simple.

Create a Twitter like logo for your website with this free online generator... A Honey Bear playhomes Tip...A really simple to use free generator to make a Twitter like logo or text image for your website.
http://www.twitlogo.com/
The border is originally set to white and looks good on a colored background but is not seen on a white one. The generated images have a transparent background and look great on any color or image you may want for your website background. You can edit and change the colors around to suit your needs by clicking the "Advanced options" link.
Alternatively, you can use the transparent text and layer them on an image to create a cool custom banner.
